I was once in special ed unit for at least 3 years (inbetween 2013 until 2016 when I graduated), I was originally from Ascot Park Primary School until 2012 when the staff didn't really handle my ASD that well (since I had Aspergers for around a decade now), my reason why I wanted to move to Forbes was because it was closer to where I live and that I had older half-brother who used to go to school until he graduated himself in 2003, I was ok with the class for at least around a year or two until it went downhill sometime in 2015, one of the teachers I had would raise her voice even if I made a simple mistake, I'd often get lied to by my teachers, one time in 2016 they said the schoolwork I was given was year 7 work but was actually year 3 schoolwork (keep in mind that I was mostly a bright student and one of the rare few who had no intellectual disability), I was treated way below my age by staff all just because of I certain class I was in even though most of my support came from friends who are my age and all of them were in mainstream classes, I'd often get excuses from both Carol Allen and Iain Elliot, one example in 2013, I was suspended all because of my hyperactivity shit and have gotten timeouts (detentions) for the stupidest reasons and got blamed also, kinda forgotten the rest but my low-self esteem issues have been there since I graduated nearly two years ago because I always felt useless compared to the mainstream kids in my year level since, at the time, I was the only year 7 in 2016 at forbes to be in the special ed class, it wasn't better after I left the school, after graduating forbes, I was in the autism intervention program at Blackwood High School, now considering I was the only student in their classroom who came from special ed program and the rest were mainstream, so it made things harder, and the teachers there didn't understand (including one time when one of the teachers said I was immature after I had an anxiety attack), after a few months, I was pulled away from that school, I'm currently at Hamilton Secondary College in the mainstream option, however, I don't really attend much mainly due to my past school experiences (obviously being misunderstood), my parents are organizing for me to go to the FLO (Flexible Learning Options Program) after I found the option by a personal close friend (who at the one at st marys, however, i'll be at the one at marion) and hopefully it will go good, so if everyone is reading this in the future, hopefully my luck will be wished, thanks :) ~ Josh Pedler

The school is great but atm we have a acting principal that has been so crap.
Allowing a student to jump on aircons punch a child name call another and no suspension at all.....
This child should be suspended especially as a year 7 student new to this school.
He spits all the time and lies to try and get out of trouble as he can’t tell the truth.

Sup I was a student here at Forbes my name is Bradley Moynahan, I can say there isn’t really and wrong with this school but, there is a few done sides, as I’ve seen in my 8 years here they pay for the school to have colour and making Forbes a happy place where people feel safe, and from my last 2 years I was at Forbes there has been no complaints of bully, and the other years I don’t remember, so if ur looking for a great school to go to I think it’s Forbes Primry School, thanks for your time Bradley Moynahan now in rolled at Unley High School

Great school Iian Elliott & Julie Baines-Cross are a inspiration to the school community lots of sports available for all students from reception to year 7. Attendance of students has increased and student moral and behaviour is very high. I am pleased to send my children here and can only see the school moving forward with the wonderful staff

As a parent of two kids at the school we are very happy with the teachers and staff. The kids enjoy going to school and have a great group of friends. Attendance and Behaviour is closely monitored and dealt with accordingly. Fantastic grounds for an inner suburbs school and also a new playground. A dedicated parent group is always there to help out. Great School.

I have a young daughter at this school, I choose this school as she went to the forbes kindy/ community centre, which. By the way was fantastic. Iam seriously thinking about moving her to another school. The actual school grounds are delapitated, dirty and extremely depressing. Some teachers are great other teachers, well let's just say not so good with communication, and favoritism happens on a daily bases. Website says their is a forest, no its not at all.. They don't do Spanish have not for a long time, instead they teach indonesion, which started right after they took music away after, there is not art room or program, and as for sports not much going on their, such a waste as they have a huge oval I have seen schools at hackham with better facilities. If you get to school at 8:48am and yes I mean literally 3 minutes after the bell, You will be intercepted by the yard duty teacher or principal and made to go to the office to sign in late, which takes allot of time and you will wait in line behind all other students that are 3 minutes late, till about 9am which they write on the slip, then finally you will get to the classroom at 9:10 am feeling harassed, and 20 minutes later then you need to be, unfortunately common sense is not commonsense at this school. I hope things start to improve because their are Teachers that care and are trying their best by the students, and my daughter has forged great friendships and it would be a pity to have to move her....

This school is appalling and utterly disgusting. I was mortified by the teachers and principal at this school. There is too much focus on art and unnecessary subjects. Carol has no morals, and marches around killing fun and making students lives miserable. The school is dirty and reminds me of a slum, the toilets are never cleaned and students often do their business in the school yard. The disabled students are locked behind bars and harassed by their teacher. One of the middle primary teachers has a obsession with the environment and it is time for her to perhaps move on or work for the garbage man. The uniform is not even inforced with students coming to school in their pajamas and UggBoots sometimes even thongs. A lot of favourism is active at this school, with teacher discriminating against multicultural backgrounds. Many girls also dress provocatively and teach younger students how to show off their assets which is very inappropriate. I am pulling my innocent children out of this school before they are influenced by this children asylum.

This School is really bad. I'm disgusted with the way the principal behaves and acts. She spends allot the schools money on rubbish. I have been informed that, when a students has a sso that they do not do any work to improve on their learning, but instead cook food or play with lego. Favouritism is a very big thing in school, and there should be a stop this. On a better note the upper primary teacher do a very good job at getting their students ready for high school. Lastly there is not enough pros in this school, for me to continue on sending my younger children here. I will be continuing their learning at William light as I have received many good reviews from there.

Carol is an old fart who needs a life. she doesn't care about the students and only wants more money. The teacher ms fox should get a new job because she is bad at teaching. My daughter received a suspension for 5 days, because she picked her nose in front of the deputy principal (Elise Hutton). The toilets never get flushed and there's always a present awaiting for you when you enter. Teachers play favourites and hit some students. Many students at the school get injured, which shows that the playground unsafe. The Beitchman Is not suitable in the area where it is placed. There is also bark under the playground which hurts when landed on. Carol is spending OUR money farrrr too much. Students also get rewards for inappropriate behaviour and the good students don't get any attention. I'll being pulling my kids out of this school very soon
