This school is sadly worse than bad it's horrific I sent my 2 kids there they both now suffer either from anxiety or depression. There are vapers, bullies and the staff is just disgusting they have ZERO control of kids there it's a fat no to this school!

As a student at Redcliffe state high school, I suggest definitely thinking again about going to Redcliffe shs. The teachers are very strict on year 7's n 8's, teachers punish students over the littlest things and get sent to the blue room or b1/B5 detention. Redcliffe state high the space and location school is great, all the classrooms are getting airconditioning but the bad part is next year ppl might have covid and then bc the aircon will be on everyone will catch it. The teachers are very poor when it comes to asking for help, so they are very unhelpful. Their curriculums are not beneficial and don't have a variety of subjects to choose from. The office staff are very hateful of young teenagers and don't like to help as much for your child. If you can just hear me out, I'm sure that you would feel the same. I am a student at Redcliffe state school so I have experienced this. Thankyou:)

I have found the unhelpful office staff to be cruel and unfair during covid times without allowing us any look at the school. I'm a bit afraid to let my child go I even though we are in catchment. When I called for info I was told to pay better attention to the schools notice boards only visable on 2 rds around school and not on my daily route. Then I was told to look for info on fb. We don't all have fb. All in all I'm pretty upset by the poor treatment and the yr hasn't begun yet. Hmmmmm

This school is really dodgy. No one follows the uniform and everyone swears/ disrespects teachers. After my child stayed 2 terms at this school (2019) we took him to southern cross high school in scarborough and it is way better than Redcliffe high, so if you want to send you child to Redcliffe high, think it through first.

The enrolment process is not user friendly. My impression is that they take their students for granted.

As a student, I would not recommend this school to parents. Teachers treat my fellow students badly and their 'idea' of punishment is over the top as well as the blue room is not helpful what so ever. Their curriculums are not beneficial and don't have a variety of subjects to choose from.

Agree about the encatchment area if you live just out of the encatchment it is crazy
But apart from that great school

A real pain if you just live out of the encatchment area
The others do not if you ask me it is a public school acting like a private school which is crazy they made it a lot smaller catchment areas. Which is hard because when you know it has everything your child needs.

I rate this school as excellent,my daughter has done so well here and going for an op of 5.Pity one of the office staff, actually doesnt seem to like teenagers,or comprehend that a lot of us are struggling due to economic status.Seems to feel the need to humiliate myself or my daughter.Well in my opinion this woman (may be wrong) is just living out her years until retiring. If you dont like teenagers, well its easy leave and ditto goes for the job.On the whole this is an amazing school, send your children here, but keep them away from the main office,if you are suffering financial difficulties,as this woman will publically humiliate you and put your child under duress.
I'm , rate this school
