I swear to god all the teachers act like it's the end of the world if your uniform isn't worn properly, they need to take bullying more seriously, some of the teachers are nice but some of them are just BAD, but overall, it's a decent school, the ONLY reason I can stand this school is because I got good friends there. Honestly, I'd rather go to a public school than this shity ass of a school :) |

This school has more has more bully's than any school I have been to. Even when the bully's do get reported the pastoral leader and the teachers make it seem like your fault. the main teacher that I personally hate is Pareira because she gets you in trouble for having your bag on your desk or if you're not sitting properly. |

the guidance sucks especially Rachel she outed multiple kids to their parents and makes students feel physically uncomfortable in her presence. She does not care about the mental health of students and does not listen to people. she only shoves her own opinions into you and makes you feel more like shit and that everything is your fault. |

The pastoral leaders dont give a crap about students. The uniforms are so overpriced my parents spent $700 buying uniforms for me and my brother. This school cares more about double piercings and mascara then literal bullying. They make you wear a blazer because we're "representing the school" but we can only wear them for 2 terms but they still make you buy the other jumpers. Shit school, teachers are like the witch in hanzel and gretel who enjoy eating kids. Some support teachers are so shit except Miss O'Neil and Miss C, they're the only ones who actually care about students. DONT COME HERE. |

This school is pretty ok, I dont really have a good school experience to reference it too. Some teachers r really nice but just get bullied by students and the rest treat us like we r criminals plotting to make their lives harder. how they deal with bullying is incredibly lacking, if someone is caught bullying or vaping they get an interschool suspension that literally does nothing to help. all the boys are eshays that r annoying and often harrass other students. Ive seen ppl complain about the tuckshop ladies but they r really sweet and just a bit overworked. I feel bad for the good teachers. Ive seen students full on harrass tecahers and all they get is a slap on the wrist, they focus too much on uniforms instead of their real issues, WAM is useless. |

This school is just so poop bro. The teachers aren’t caring, and they only care about uniforms. They also take extra care for the k block kids (special eds, gays, etc). Although some of them need special help for education, they’re softer on the rules for them which is unfair for us. |

this school is the most povo private school ever. just walking around the college you can see gum stuck on walls and all different types of sticky stuff. and once there was a bloody band aide on the leaf of a tree the school also cares more about uniform and the way people "represent" the school like 2 pricings wont effect my learning neither would makeup. they force us to buy a 150 dollar blazer just to wear it for 2 terms and then grow out of it. the teachers and helper teacher are also rude and don't treat us like normal people and same with the tuck-shop ladies . do not waste your money on this terrible school seriously its depressing. |

I once got detention for a whole week just for forgetting my formal Thai IN MY FIRST TREM. if there was a hell on earth then Clairvaux Mackillop college is it DO.NOT.GO.HERE.. |

this school is a literal dumpster fire. the teachers don’t give a shit abt us and care more abt mascara and piercings than mental health. in yr 7 i told my pastoral leader (mrs slater) that i was being bullied and she told me to suck it up????!!!! omds don’t even get me started on the pretty privilege and blatant fat phobia, racism, ableism, and homophobia. so much for an accepting school. |

it is a horrible school. The year 10 pastoral leaders are absolute female dogs. They care more about mascara, double piercings and excess jewelry than your education and mental health. The front office ladies are hopeless at their job and they can't bloody print a ticket. the library ladies for god sake, no one cares if there are kids on the balcony!!! let them be. MOST of the teachers here can't teach and practically can't speak english. you have to teach yourself most days of the week. My yr 10 methods math teaher was away the WHOLE first term, our class taught ourselves. and it was our first year doing methods too! The only teachers i like are ms milanovic and ms wigan and papa smurf. |

they care more about bloody twins then people with no twins.. because apparently twins are not popular and this year they have had more twins. why I don't like twins because there r these to that r soo annoying everywhere i go they r there. oh also they don't really care about boys. oh and plus over all of spending money on uniform its like 1 grand at the end of the years to go u have to buy 2 blazer that = like around $300 |

Im in year 11 here at Clairvaux Mackillop College, most teachers are wonderful like my english teacher Ms. Forrester but some teachers are terrible and dont teach. The school is filled with druggies and eshays that spit and try and fight with terrible attitude. The girls uniforms are often called too short or inappropriate i agree in some cases, except, they can always buy bigger uniforms! the costs for uniforms and new locks are terrible i had to pay 100$ for a new hat for god sakes. i wouldn't recommend sending your child here as there is SO SO SO many other great schools around the area. |

I’m currently attending Clairvaux MacKillop College as a grade 9 student (as of 2022). This school is pretty good overall, teachers that I’ve met so far are all quite nice and are within the tolerable strictness zone. I’ve made quite a couple of friends throughout the year at this school. However, this school focuses on sports and arts/ music more than academic which is a bit annoying for the students who want to pursue in a academic journey. The removal of Japanese as a language choice for electives (available for year 7 and 8 as a compulsory subject but not for year 9 and above) was also a disadvantage for someone who is interested in continuing studying Japanese. Overall, Clairvaux MacKillop College is a pretty wonderful school if you or your child/ren is interested in sports and music then I would recommend you this school! If not, it’s still a good school choice. As English is not my first language, there might’ve been some mistakes while typing this. Please excuse me from those mistakes. Hope you have a wonderful rest of day! Thanks for reading my review! :) |

My daughter goes to this school and she has complained many times to me to send her to St Thomas More because they have been doing better than this school. The uniform lady made my daughter buy sports socks because she didn’t have the right socks for that day and they charged so much for uniforms. |

This school is not that good I suggest kid to St Thomas More or John Paul College. The school hats are $80!! And don’t get me started but they’re rules are outrageous. I got detention for taking my mask of for 5 seconds. And apparently they have made any new rule where YOU MUST have the big school bag and use it everyday except sports days. I used to use the sports bag everyday because it was light and nice for my back. They are literally making us buy stuff. |

Going to this school was an overall good experience across the board. But ohh boy some experiences were really poor. With hindsight some of these teachers shouldn’t even be employed. Although a handful of teachers were extremely competent and committed to education. |

I love how the basketball courts have such good drainage. They are always dry and the teachers are great because they make you wear a hat while playing an intense match of basketball. I also love how the teachers are never late and that they always have the right key.

The level of teaching at this school has decreased drastically. Previously I found that the teaching method was very enjoyable and that the teachers that were assigned to teacher me were amazing as they found ways to make the class enjoyable. However with the recent introduction of ATAR and the loss of some of the best teachers at the school the experience is lacking. The teaching methods of some of the teachers is very misleading as they teach you the bear minimum and don't express any need for us to go above this leading all students to think they were on a successful path. The teachers also would leave out large parts of work because they wither, 'weren't bothered to teach it' or 'forgot' which led to a lot of class mates failing. Along with this the school itself has made a stigma that the students are no longer controlled. Year 7 students acts like they own the world and continue to act a nescience for the year 12 who are unable to do anything without landing in trouble. The teachers are unable to control classes and with the lack of the RTC (a previous in class detention room) there is no where to send the miss-behaving students. This inturn creates a lot of distraction for students as my self who are heavily focusing on their schooling to get the best marking. With all this however the school is an alright placement for students but should be seen that they focusing highly on arts and cultural activities much rather that curriculum studies. Although I am only in year 11 this year, the lack of communication and over working the students is very evident, leading to multiple students considerations to transfer or simply dropout. |

I went to this school a few decades ago. I was bullied really badly and some of the teachers were quite nasty. School treated boys like crap. Boys' toilets didn't have any soap, but the girls' toilet had fancy liquid soap and a hand dryer! |

Although early days, I have nothing but great things to say about the school. My daughter transferred from another school and is so much happier at Clairvaux. Being a teacher myself, I have found the teachers have been really invested in the success of students and focus on fostering positive relationships with students. She certainly didn’t have this at her previous school, so I’d be more than happy to recommend Clairvaux! |

I have a child currently attends Clairvaux MacKillop and is in year 10 !! I can't say I've been to thrilled in the past few months with some of the teachers attitudes!! These teachers need to take more pride & have more compassion for students that maybe struggling in certain areas of there school subjects. After all we as parents are paying for our children to be educated by these teachers , that get paid quiet handsomely for our children attending this school. This I do know for a fact as my sibling is a school teacher in a public school that gets paid well . In order for these children to have a good education, these teachers need to pull there heads in and put more effort into teaching these students and putting more time into explaining there methods to the students . As a parent I have now had to get a private tutor in to my home twice a week , so my child gets a better understanding of certain subjects.. more money . Disappointing to say the very least , as the staff seem to be more invested in giving our children infringements for uniforms worn incorrectly instead of worrying about how they can better the children's understanding of there education. I would love to see the school rating rise to outstanding.. |

I have been disappointed with the lack of effort put in by most teachers. I actually was shocked when the assistant principal of the college said that a child who is experiencing a c- or d in English will always have those marks. What a way to take the pressure off teachers! No growth mindset there. very sad. |

I currently go to Clairvaux Mackillop College i can say that it is a very enjoyable school, the academic side of things lacking, the sporting side is very high; there are a variety of sports to choose from such as netball, football, soccer and lots more. Clairvaux currently take part in the SECCA sports competition versing other catholic schools. During the middle of last right up to the start of the new schooling year this year, there was a new building built for the new year 7's, the library has been updated and now is a 'university' type library along side a new tuck shop which only uses the student ID cards. Over all Clairvaux is a good school and the teachers are never that strict if you are not a 'trouble maker'. |

Being a student graduating in 2013, I would not recommend this school to anyone who wants to enjoy their schooling career. After spending 5 years at this school, i could not be more happy to leave; my parents feeling the same. For the fees involved in this school, students get absolutely nothing. No special or interesting camps, a disgustingly poor formal, and so on. I had multiple friends at different schools around brisbane, and they seemed to enjoy their high school experience much more. The teaching is also incredibly average. Most teachers couldn't seem to care less about their students. From a students perspective, i would not come to/send your kids to Clairvaux. |
