As a parent I do not like this school my son gets bullied by not students but teachers constantly being harassed by argant and treating students like they are in kindergarten and being told they have to arrange toilet breaks at recess and lunch but really can you control your blaster I’d say do not enrol your child here if you care about there mental health

Input equals output - if you have a child who wants to be at school and wants to do the work - then there is an amazing amount of opportunity at Bowral High School. I doubt that any school in any district is perfect (for example kids doing drugs and committing suicide on private school property) but Bowral High acknowledges a level of accountability and tries to address issues rather than sweeping them under the carpet. They do act on concerns raised rather than trying to hush them in fear that they will lose extravagant school fees (as seen in some of the private schools). They clearly have departmental guidelines that they must abide by. The admin staff, at the front desk and the finance office, are wonderful!!! There is always a cheerful greeting and an attitude of "how can I help?" I used to love driving by and watching the kids being taken for a walk for their sports activity rather than having to do structured classes - the kids were laughing and happy and mucking around - great to see. I love that some of the teachers go above and beyond and do things that aren't specifically part of the curriculum but...it's really made a difference to one of the kids. So apart from your usual classes (of which there is a broad range - especially when it comes to electives), kids do their sports carnivals, cross country, swimming carnivals, Duke of Edinburgh, excursions (which were naturally affected by covid), there is the ski trip, they are encouraged to do Tafe courses and the kids can leave school with useful qualifications that can help them to gain decent employment. The careers advisor has been exceptional in the past and is very much in tune with the kids that are open to her guidance. I find this to be a very down to earth, no nonsense school that shows a good reflection of what life has in store for these kids for their future. It's not an overly protective environment that gives the kids a heightened sense of self importance because they are "privileged" to be placed in a certain uniform. It's the real deal. And gives them a better exposure to life as it is. Again, input equals output. If you have a child that wants to learn then they will seek out the opportunities. If you have a child that does not want to be there then they will be the ones constantly complaining and giving bad reviews.

This school is the worst school in the area, it doesn’t care about teachers abusing students and doesn’t believe in mental health, all this school cares about is your uniform and attendance.
I'm , rate this school
