My child has been complaining about his one teacher named Mr Shannon. My son tells me that teacher cannot teach his students and is too busy complaining over the smallest things. This is just horrible, we need better teachers here. And the bus system is just horrible. I see an extremely long line of students waiting for a bus and they'll end up waiting 10-20 minutes for a bus. These poor kids deserve better. They need more buses

This school is so good for teaching, apart from some lack in modesty, the school scores higher than most public schools in the area

Worst school in st Ives the office lady’s don’t treat anyone with respect even parents and students. Libraries staff are rude and judgy and have a bad attitude about everything and when u ask to borrow smth they have a go at you for no reason if I was u I wouldn’t send anyone here

Okay. The bus like is absolutely disgusting, ridiculous, excruciating, and horrible-there is absolutely zero commitment in making this poor children go home. It takes SUBURBS. SUBURBS MAN. This is absolutely disgusting the children have to wear 60kg backpacks on their bag every goddam day. I am so offended, insulted, and disgusted by your systems of buses. You need more mate

I found the teachers extremely supportive including the head. My daughter competed her GCSE's and left the school with amazing results. Thank you.

I’m so happy I made my child move to barker, st Ives had a really negative impact on my child and the school just wasn’t strict enough about proper etiquette and LENGTH OF GIRLS DRESSES THEY LITERALLY GO ABOVE THEIR THIGHS

All girls at this school spend a long time in the morning for their make up. My daughter was one of them. From straightening her her to do her make up was more than one hour each morning. She became an anorexic and I blame the school for her illness. If you have a daughter I urge you to send her to a Christian school for the sake of her mental health.

The school is fine, though some of the teachers are extremely rude to the children and highly disrespect the students. Some teachers ask the students to shut up and not to ask any questions. But most teachers are highly knowledgeable and very nice to students and parents. The principal should do something about the lazy, useless teachers. (you have got to believe me, I have been in this school for 2 years and I KNOW this school pretty well)

My child loves the school and we believe that what you put in you receive in abundance. Great job St Ives!

I agree with the parent who said the school should give more homework and tests in main subjects. It is not that hard for the teachers to do it. A compulsory moral and character building lesson should be added to all high schools throughout Australia.

Girls wear heavy make up and their skirts are so short. The school does nothing about it. They just don't care.

Very friendly staff (and senior students), the school?s values are taught and are ingrained into the students, my daughter is hearing impaired, and the integration offered by the school is outstanding, we are very happy with this school.

The first parent who commented on this on the 11 march 2013, giving them more test is good but you are comparing this to an private school and St Ives is not a private school so in my opinion I think you are wrong.

I think the school should give more tests in main subjects such as Maths, Science and English to students throughout the year to get them to read and learn more. That's what they do at private schools such as Masada and that's how they have high HSC results.
