this school is ridiculous, they care more about uniform than the students education, while kids from the age 12-14 are bringing knifes and vapes to school the teachers and employees are more focused on students with piercings, jewelry and colored hair. there are fights almost everyday, kids bullying other classmates for their weight, look or race, it reeks of Nazi Germany. overall this school is horrible please for the sake of your kids mental health DONT SEND THEM HERE!!

As a past teacher I find this school absolutely horrible they treat the kids poorly and make the kids do a prayer every morning. There whole R.E. lessons are on a saint nobody know and if you don’t wear the correct uniform, it’s an immediate after school detention. I feel extremely sorry for those kids.

the teacher don't teach anything plus for that they make you problem and hate you without any reason many student during year 12 drop subject and some of them don't complete because always the teacher treat them badly but this school is good for sport they encourage alot but for math or science or language is not recommend just this very lucky people they get 25 rarely 30 it's impossible but that's for uni they have equivalent subject to year 12 and they have good environment and teach you well but will extend and take 1 year or more good luck and don't waste time from your life and money in thus place

As a former student, this school was horrible. I had anxiety going to class each day and it was a bad educational experience. The teachers cared more about how my hair was not tied up more than the fact that my education was slacking. There might be one or too teachers who value their students but the majority act like they don't even want to be there. They buy low quality laptops for cheap (even cheaper because of the financial year sale. A teacher was bragging about it to the students during a class) and sell it 3-4 times the price. Filled with applications we didn't even use and have to download the ones we actually use later during class.

It’s shocking how a private school can be this bad. Uniform and behaviour is valued over education and staff are poorly trained

I am an experienced teacher and have taught at different schools. Penola offers an amazing education for those willing to work with the school. It provides an affordable Catholic education with great facilities. The majority of staff are selfless, wanting the best for the students and their families. Many close bonds are formed and I am very proud of my ex students. Many students begin their school life at Penola having already faced disadvantages. The majority leave at a much improved level and most with a pathway towards either work or education. It amazes me how much support students receive from the Careers officers. When families and students work with the school, positive outcomes can be achieved. I can only imagine that the above parent spent much time in various co-ordinators offices and what usually begins with a simple "disagreement" over uniform manifests itself into disrespect of the school and the guidelines that keep it running as efficiently as possible. I cannot imagine a more caring community, playing an underdog but achieving great things in Broadmeadows.

This is one of the worst schools you can ever send your children to. The teaching is poor and learning is not even considered. more worried by the uniform then the actual child's learning. when you approach the higher teaching staff for conserns they lie to you and will not help you in any instance. i advise that you never, ever consider this school for your child.
I'm , rate this school
