This school is terrible the students are monsters and play games all sessions or talk about who they have a crush on and much more inappropriate things and most of the higher grades bully you if you even come near them NEVER SEND YOUR CHILD THERE!

By Anonymous: This school was good at first but now…well now it’s just a hellhole full of bad people, on my third day a person that came to my primary school told my that year sevens suck and also on that same day at lunch a “pack” of year eight or nines surrounded me and some of my friends and scared us and threatened us the teachers rarely give detentions and inappropriate language is almost in every classroom my advice is NEVER SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!

Also Peiter Oosterloo, Mary Tur and Georgina Stavrakis are horrible people and are not fit to work in a school.

The year 7 coordinators for 2023 are awful! The school is awful, the people in the school are awful and the wellbeing team (literally only one person btw) is sloppy and doesn't help you at all! I hate this school with all my very heart soul an might. I had MY IDENTITY STOLEN and the teachers/staff/year 7 coordinators sat back and watched it all and did nothing. I think I might actually write to the minister of education or whatever there called because this is appalling!!! Whatever this school says that this school is: amazing and a good learning environment or whatever is bullshit! Every second I spent in this building was a LIVING HELL. I spent my lunch/recess quietly eating and hoping to god no one picks on me or trying to find a place to hide. They say that they want to create a safe and secure learning space but it is not. It's a hellhole where no one cares about your wellbeing, no one cares what happens to you. The staff don't care about you at all! They only care about the money they "earn" and there attendance list. They just like to watch interesting things happen. The handful of good people who are there right now, most of them are going through hell. Fortunately I am now at a good school where people are actually decent. And yet I'm still scared of school and people in general even now when I'm in a safe space, because they made me scared of school and people. Every morning when I was still at thornbury high, I would be in the car screaming and crying begging my parents/grandmother to take me home. I was so afraid and I still am! Now I may sound like an angry little shit but I'm more than just angry. I am so full of hatred and rage for this school because I trusted them to take care of me and instead they traumatized me! I'm begging you, if your child is on the spectrum and/ or has autism or adhd, DO NOT SEND THEM TO THORNBURY HIGH!!!!!!!! Because if you do they will have the most horrible time you can imagine (if not MORE than you can imagine).

This school is completely and utterly appauling in almost every way that could be imagined. The amount of naivity and childishness that most of the rest of the students show would be hilarious, if it, and all the other problems this school has, didn't make it a living hell to go to. The remote learning program is a bad joke, for a start. The average literacy and numeracy skills of most students there are what one might expect of someone in early-mid primary school who struggles with academic learning and progress. There are so many horrid issues at this school that it would take years to list them. Such a shame they only put as much time as I have to make this review into their curriculum, policies, mission and motives, and I mean that in both the way of their creation and their enforcement. You have been warn insufficiently - stay as far away as you possibly stay from that damned place!

This school was the most horrible experience I have ever dealt with in my life.
The horrible, horrible teachers refuse to make slight adjustments to the policies because I need them, trying to give me and my parents speeches about data, the data says it works, the data says this is the best, bla bla bla.
The inclusion program is horrible and the teachers show about as much attention as they show their lovers, if they have any, based on the unwillingness to change and stubborn attitudes shown here.
To hell with thornbury high school. I hope to see it's doors close for the last time before I die.
The inclusion program is outrageous, and horrible to students trying to fit in and get better at work.

this school is povo we do sport in the canteen. you'd think that the school would be able to afford proper facility's as the uniform and canteen food is so expensive you might as well sell your lungs on the black market although not many people at thornbury have clean lungs to sell anyways

as a teacher at this school I find it very distracting when certain young ladies wear the skirts very high up as it distracts me while I am teaching,I act as though it does not distract me, but I get a hard on. I also think about them when I get home to my wife.

I work at Thornbury High School and am very proud of our students and staff. We have a wonderful school community, offer a wide range of activities both in classes and beyond and pride ourselves in providing a safe and supportive learning environment.

My Son Nearly commited suicdie from the bullying and un safe envorioment that this school has. IF this school had better teachers and less bullys,it would be a grate school to go to but this school should not be seen as safe for teenagers.

Thornbury High School is a pretty awesome school the mutual respect that there is between students and teachers is unique and can not be found in any other school in addition to all the teachers being as helpful as possible with helping students outside of class times. What would be an improvement is one canteen prices three dollars for a cookie and four dollars for a flat wrap you might as well just sell your kidneys on the black market cause with these prices you mean get as well. The schools grate in terms of education but the facility's are crap everything is old chance can do with more than just work and wtf they built basketball courts in the middle of the footy field like there were so many others and you could have just re done the courts near the TLC. In thornbury many students fall victim to bullying and well the school has a bullying survey it doesn't really demonstrate change and is taken more like a joke.
I'm , rate this school
