i am moving from this school because of the poor treatment of students. there have been multiple incidents were the teachers have done nothing, many of them do not care about the well being of students at the college. i haven't even finished my first year and i am already having difficulty and trouble at the school. The school states that they care about the students mental health but they did not care about my situation when i explained it to one of the social workers there. the school has very old school teaching which is not the right teaching for some, all kids learn differently! another show that the school doesn't care is there has been multiple suicides including one this year, the school has not done anything about this to change the way things work.

My daughter is in year 8 and so far so good. Teachers are great, communication is great. Great facilities. My daughter had a lot of friends move to this school too so she was lucky she had friends from the start but in saying that she made some lovely new friends also. She is doing quite well academically also. She is also quite sporty which this school has been great for. Can’t say we have had any issues.

Mel / Hi Nat,Here, here! Couldn't agree more.TJ sat his first NAPLAN test yesterday & we both saw it as a poivstie experience. Whilst he was willing, we sat down at home & did SOME practice tests It gave me the opportunity to teach him some test techniques. I taught him to circle a question he had trouble with & go back to it at the end, some tricks they do in the spelling questions, etc. He was very keen to learn & it was poivstie for both of us. I am very proud of his attitude. He was relaxed yesterday & certainly is today. I took him to running club yesterday morning to maintain the normal routine & keep his mind off the test . He was very happy yesterday afternoon!I believe the child will react depending on what the school & parents project onto them.I also believe the the original reasoning behind the NAPLAN is sound & gets schools/curriculum back to the 3 R's , which is sooo important. What is out of hand is the way some schools pressure parents & students to affect their image and potential funding. That is NOT putting the kids interests first. For us, however, it has been a poivstie experience:)Thanks for listening. LOL xx
