i have friends that go there it is so chill relaxing better than other schools but could teach better

The staff at Luther College are amazing. Day to day teachers could not do more for the students. The problem is leadership which is top heavy and focused on career building misogynistic men. It was a boys' club through the previous principal's reign. Now it's top heavy with women who no longer teach and are out of touch.

As a parent all i have to say is that.. this school does NOT care about actual education. Only caring about its fake reputation, the teacher DONOT listen and marks assessments only on their feeling towards their student i strongly do not recommend this school.

To the parent who wrote in on 31 May 2017, I'll bet your child was frequently out of uniform, wearing piercings and doing the wrong thing. It's parents like you who damage the reputation of wonderful schools.

The best experience my children can have had. A wonderful school with teachers who give so much of themselves. We could not have asked for a happier education experience for our children.

This school is terrible. All they care about is the pressure on kids and what they look like rather then actually helping them and dealing with their needs. From someone who isn't apart of Luther anymore I can strongly say I would never recomend. They should focus more on helping the kids and taking some pressure off them instead of caring so much about what socks their wearing or if they are wearing pj's on a free dress day and would rather send them home and risk their education because of there looks.

Luther staff are very slow at dealing with complaints.

If you spend $13,000 per year per child then one expects better reporting and more time with teaching staff than one currently gets at this school. I think the current parent teacher system in place is average and needs a rethink by the school council to provide a deeper and more engaging role for parents in their child's education.

I agree with the other parents - the whole parent teacher interview sessions are not adequate as you have no privacy and line up outside rooms in the cold weather waiting to see the teacher. These sessions are brief and hold little value for us really attending them. I'm sure the teachers would rather be home as well.

The college speaks of entering into engaging partnerships with parents. As a parent who has attended teacher-parent interviews, the reality is you get a 10 minute time slot in a crowded class room with other teachers and parents to discuss your child's progress twice per year. It's a shambles and a marketing spin by the school. We feel it is a one way partnership.

Traffic management around the school is chaos at pick up and drop off times.
The school is more interested in building more rooms and taking more money.

IT program is expensive. Forced to buy clunky toshiba laptops and portal is work in progress. Disappointed the kids are not using latest tech equipment.

I have been associated with this school for the past five years and they do engage alienation strategies if you disagree or have concerns.
I'm , rate this school
