Nothing but praise and gratitude for the school. My two daughters thrived at shgc. Caring staff, loads of electives & an incredible outdoor Ed program spanning 4 years worth of camps. Great bang for your buck!!

teachers are bullies who claim to care but don't. they say they care, but show no acts of care or sympathy. mental health help is abysmal and I would leave if it was not for my friends. the only good thing is that all of the students band together when the teachers are being cruel, which is all of the time.

Mr Dalton is a selfish pig who sits in his office all day and never comes out. Never allowed to have a meeting with him or talk to him. Has a lady write his emails for him. The school keeps harassing my daughter and I saying she can't move schools and they will still be taking out money from my account for the rest of the year even though my daughter is moving schools and I have told the school to stop taking money out of my account. DON'T SEND YOUR DAUGHTER HERE.

This school is terrible. They care more about your uniform than your actual education. DON'T SEND YOUR DAUGHTER HERE!!!! All the teachers need to retire, half of them can't even walk properly. There are literally teachers standing at the gates when we walk out and in the school just so they can check our uniform. WHAT IS THIS. They literally will give you a detention for having your earring at the top hole, not the lowest hole, WHAT HAS THAT GOT TO DO WITH THE EDUCATION. I DID NOT PAY $9000 for fees to go to school to get my uniform checked, I went to this school for the education. Get a detention for wearing ankle socks and rolled up trackies.. DO YOU WANT ME TO WALK AROUND WITH MY TRACKIES TOUCHING THE FLOOR???? Can't wear the scarf with the sport uniform?? WHAT is the problem with wearing the scarf with sport uniform?? The scarf is uniform? They just make up their own rules when they feel like it. DON'T SEND YOUR DAUGHTER HERE.

This school is appalling. Fees of $9000 for what? Honesty schools that are less than $4000 have better opportunities and things that can actually help in life. I regret sending my child here. Do not risk wasting $9000. The subjects for electives are useless. Many schools that are a lot cheaper have woodwork, metalwork, sewing and things like competitive cooking against other schools. I'm sure you can guess which one I would much rather choose. With such disappointment I would never recommend this so called school to anyone that I know. It is such a disappointment.

Good school. Good teachers. Good location (very close to train station and bus terminals). Good education.

My daughter is a current student. Her education and greater school experience has been very good. Supportive teachers and school environment. Adherence to school uniform codes is enforced but fairly.

This school really is the defenition of 'Appalling'. Coming from a Greek Orthodox background, My child received a punishment for doing her cross before eating. On another occasion she received a detention for wearing her Greek Orthodox cross, while another student is allowed to wear her cross because it is 'Catholic'. I highly regard sending your child to a different school, not a school that condones and promotes 'religious exclusivism.

This school was great before they employed a particular deputy principle. Never in my 6 years at SHGC did I encounter such disrespect from a teacher/DEPUTY PRINCIPAL. I encountered an experience in 2017 with a new deputy principal/history teacher. I thought this school was supposed to promote respect and good manners. We should expect that this is displayed by all staff, especially their DEPUTY PRINCIPALS. Unfortunately this was not the case. When my sister encountered conflict in year 12 with one of the teachers yelling at her behind a closed door, Imy parents and I wanted to escalate this. I accompanied my parent to my past school expecting resolution. We didnt expect much, but I at least expected the deputy principle to be respectful and give us the time of day to sort out this issue as my sister had been quite overwhelmed and stressed about this. Instead, I was refrained from coming in. I was even asked "whats her involvement in this" .. so she could speak to my parent one on one and have no witness to her rudeness. Still, I watched from the outside. My parent told me everything that happened as soon as she got out.. about 5 MINUTES later. She did not want to hear the full story or even ask how my sister was. She constantly interrupted my mum and would talk over her. She then told her that she had no time to listen to this and that my sister was probably exaggerating the whole situation. THAT WAS HER WAY OF DEALING WITH THIS STRESSFUL EVENT FOR A YEAR 12. SAYING THAT SHE WAS PROBABALY JUST LYING. If this is the type of deputy principle you want your daughters to encounter than this is the school for you. After sending two girls and paying 6 years each of fees to this school Im sure my mum was shocked and appalled by this treatment. It just shows that no matter what teachers/principals will stick with each other and no matter what they say they dont really have your daughters best interest/well being in mind when they respond to issues or conflict. This was a great school but unfortunately its infected by some rude and careless teachers who dont really care about the students.

Do not like this school. Way too strict about uniform. Making student buy school socks with 2 lines on them for $9.50 and making them buy woken stockings that are also expensive. Education is ok but many teachers are poor teachers. Waste a lot of money

What can I say about SHGC? Well good school, good kids, good staff...
My daughter have diabetes and the staff really helping my daughter through everything from homeworks to camping excursion because she also have autism.
To the parent saying SHGC is bad, you can see the overall student assessment. It is a pretty good grade. I mean we are not to par with Mac. Robs or Noosal high. But it's worth to put your daughter here.

Absolutely love Sacred Heart. It is a great school and we do excellently for a school that costs so little. Nearly finishing my time up here but I have very fond memories of it that will stay with me for a long time.
I'm , rate this school
