i have being going to this soooo wonderful school (sycasm) for 2 years, what can i say it is utterly disappointing bro the only thing that rings in my mind is now " PULL YOUR SOCS UP BOYS" ( Ms Tanks, principal) and this school expects you to be either excellent or non existent, and its so strict and overpopulated its like North Korea, so if you still want a life its never too late to turn back....
Kind Regards: Student From Mansfield State High

I unfortunately went to this school for 3 years, left halfway through year 9. The school and staff are terrible; I developed depression, anxiety, and mild SCHIZOPHRENIA from the stress of the mental abuse I copped from teachers, councillors, and PRINCIPAL. The school only cares about student appearance and grades, and boasts about student achievements and take them as their own to boast about. When I told the councillors about my troubles, they were only concerned that I was not attending class, and therefore making the school look bad by having a 30% attendance rate. Mansfield is NOT made for quiet personalities, and is WAY overpopulated. IT IS A DICTATORSHIP. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS THERE. I feel terrible for my old friends that are still stuck in this school. rip.

I’m so disappointed at the way the school has impacted my child’s confidence, as she can’t just be happy and feel herself instead she is lectured and scolded for the most little things such as wearing a thin layer of lip balm. I cannot believe how they care more about the appearance of my child over her education and the reputation of the school! They speak to my child as if she is has no rights to herself. The population of the school is too big, and they only care about the high achievers but the children who are struggling they have no care for. Children should be excited and thrilled to come to school to learn but instead my child dreads coming. I will be removing my child from this hell whole next term and I advise other parents to remove their children too, as this school has left my child with life long trauma.

Good school, doesn't encourage individuality but kind teachers. Successful pupils

they care more about what people who aren't even involved with the school think and not the students and people involved with the school

Disappointing school

I saw some students vape and do drugs, but i can't do anything about it, because i will get bullied by these big kids, and the teacher don't care. They only have the rule about not using mobile phone at school grounds, but they did not add vapes and stuff like that towards the rule

The staff treats most students with complete disrespect they constantly favour kids in the music and tech program while completely ignoring the others. They need to get their act together otherwise this school will fail all their students and employees.

Older grades r op bc u get to push the year 7s out of the way
By Student - 14 Feb 2022, Rate: bad
Im in year 7 i started last week and two of my friends cried today because of teachers being rude, my friend forgot her hat and a teacher was being absoultely rude. My other friend cried today because of her school laptop. The school expects every student to have a school laptop or bring there own but school laptops are extremely expensive 1500 per laptop which is extremely hard for big families and on school laptops almost everything is blocked. The principal stands outside when students are going to class with a megaphone telling kids to fix there uniform. "pull your socks up", "put your hat on" school is already stressful but the standards add so much more stress. Mansfields grade might be good but the wellbeing is very bad meaning kids do drugs and vape and all that to deal with deppression. BAD BAD BAD SCHOOL

Stats and information show that Mansfield is a great school, but that's looking at its shell. Inside, students are being mistreated and not taken seriously. They treat us like robots and don't actually care about us. The sadistic people who think that it's a great school seriously need to come here and experience what we go through everyday. Teachers are so disrespectful and it's rare that you get one that is actually good. The school needs to up its game and actually be like they say it is.

The staff are basically dictators, the school is run like a military camp, we aren't being treated respectfully. The principal doesn't do anything about kids doing drugs and vaping on school grounds, all she does is walk around and yell at people through a mega phone about our socks. Would not recommend coming here, try something like Mt Gravatt or Cavendish Road.

This school is over capacity, and it shows, with some classes being held outside due to not enough rooms. Mansfield priorities how it looks to everyone else over the well being of the students, with the uniform aiming to stamp out individuality, and all rules (no matter how ridiculous) are strictly enforced. My child has seen other students humiliated for something as small as covering up acne, which at that age can effect their mental well being.

I absolutely love Mansfield State High School, it is such an inclusive and friendly community. The Principle is an amazing role model and is so kind towards the students and teachers. I am in the Music Accelerando Program and the teachers are so kind and helpful whenever we ask. Mansfield is very disciplined and that's what teaches students, like myself to follow simply rules and take pride in their appearance. I would most definitely suggest Mansfield State High to any parent wanting to find one of the best high schools I believe, in Queensland, and to set your child up for the best future possible!

disgraceful ,to long have i been quiet about people in charge who behave like a child bully, with only one thing in mind - there own sick agenda - to bad our society seems to be doing the same. Will speak up for children who want to be happy and not robots pushed to live a materialistic, university driven life.Sit the kids out in the sun and trees.

In this school, everyone is inculed in everything. This school should often be regarded as the "School Of Friendship"

This school is unbearably strict in an utterly exaggerated way. I fully understand that schools require rules and regulations in order for things to fall into place. However, some staff in particular handle these rules in a very rude and persistent manner. Without understanding that students are not robots and cannot be perfect in every way possible. Teenagers in particular are going to make mistakes and that is just life. But some teachers and staff don't seem to comprehend this. They expect absolute perfection from every student. This is an unrealistic expectation. My child had come home crying recently as he said that a teacher had swore, spoken rudely and been calling him a liar. There are some behaviours that are just not tolerated and I believe that having some authority as a teacher or staff member at a school should not be an exception.

I'm a Year 7 student in the music program, and it is so good. The teachers are helpful, nice and you definitely want to learn from them. The music program is incredible so far. The older students are so nice and they are so helpful. This school is great, and I would recommend it too any student that has a passion in music.

This school is a terrible place. The environment is desepicable. The school's principal is extremely abusive towards the students. The principal yells and humiliates the students very aggressively for small things like forgetting a part of their uniform. Please do not make the mistake I have done to send your child to this school to save them from the barbaric, aggressive principal who takes joy in abusing her students.

It is one of the best school in Brisbane. Both my daughters had the best teachers who were not only dedicated but also very encouraging. The whole environment is very friendly and no one feels left out. I would recommend this school to anyone. Very organised and well disciplined.

This school is getting worse now because they are enrolling way too much people to fit in a tiny school

The school is way too small to fit 2000+ students, the environment of this school is not good.

So much opportunities, honestly I can see where the parent above can come from with the 'dictatorship' but I truely believe the strictness of the school ensures that us students have the best education that we can. I was debating with a friend who goes to private school about why her school costs 12,000 dollars per year and mine costs nothing. She said they have better education and opportunities, however When you look at the stats... You can't agree on that statement. Mansfield state high school has excellent opportunities and is ranked 4 out of all public and private schools .
