I graduated in 2022 and I wish the school cared for the non-facility students almost as much as they do their facility students. teachers like Khristen Whykes only care for those who are hearing impaired and only support teachers who have deaf children in their class. the others matter too

The bullying was going on in the 80’s, terrible. Some of the teachers were so bad that we decided to take our children out of that school and enrol them elsewhere which turned out to be the best thing that we ever did.
Obviously the school hasn’t improved in that area.

I have been to this school for the last 6 years, and I for one, have NO CRITIQUE. I think this school is AMAZING and deserves all the good things that come to it. Im deeply sorry for those who have had a poor experience, maybe it wasnt just something wrong with the teachers, as per your point of view, it may have been something you have done as well.

Staff display poor manners, very rude. Since visitors aren’t allowed into the school I had to give what I had to bring for my siblings to the front office. She continues to display rude and irrelevant comments such as “that’s a lot of lunch”, clearly I was only trying to deliver lunch. I believe comments like these shouldn’t be made. She should not concern herself in matters like this. Whether you think she did the right or wrong thing is for you to decide. Decide whether this is the environment you want to place your child in and to grow up with. I attended this school in 2011, graduating in 2017. This lady still hasn’t changed to this day, 2021. I think it’s time for some change. Do better.

This school has its benefits but it also has it's downfalls. Mount View brings a lot of pride to its Deaf Facility. And to be true it's awesome. Thy have helped many kids with learning with a hearing loss. They have some downfalls. Their new principal is ruining the schools reputation. He focuses a lot of his time making the younger kids school time better other than some of the older ones. This school also doesn't do anything about bullying. I have seen many kids at MV be bullied, and the teachers don't do anything about it. They always just say to 'walk away'. Like that doesn't work since they will just do it again. The school also says a lot to the parents how they handle bullying amazingly, when that is definitely not true. But this school does have amazing sport. They pride themselves in sport and well I guess they are being truthful. I also just wanted to add that a lot of tej teachers in this school are very mean.

I am a past student of Mount View, I felt deeply disrespected by both peers and teachers. I was bullied and no action was taken, felt very uncomfortable coming to school and needed to take days off due to how bad it got. I wanted to change schools but didn't which was a mistake as the education I was given was lacking in too many aspects.

This school used to be quite reputable in the IB PYP education world and provided a world class education. Over the past two and half years the calibre of education has change significantly. The Principal does not lead by example and is quite rude to families and staff members.
There has been huge staff turn over due to poor management of staff and changing school culture and values. It is sad to see such a great school be turned into a place I would not be comfortable sending my children.

School ranking is going down. I can see some teachers behaviour is very bad. one of the Chinese teacher in year 1 is terrible. I got to know that she came to teach after long break. Too much talking with parents outside even though bell rings in the morning. Telling other parents that other teachers are not good in her class. Her all 3 kids in same school. She cannot concentrate on her work. This is no good for school reputation. poor students in her class.

Staff specially Sharon at front is so rude. No smile at all till the Principal's arrivals. Suggest all staff should treat parents nicely.

Way too crowded and class numbers are too much ... too much importance given to the chinese community.

I recommend you send your child to a smaller school with programs to effectively prevent bullying. I highly recommend that the school does not force the parents to act on their own as the children affected by what happens are normally given the lower hand in choosing what happens to them.

The academic results at the school is great but it is now way over crowded.
Reminder the students in the area do tend to get a lot of outside tuition. Therefore academic results tend to be higher in the schools in Glen Waverley.
As a parent I would recommend a smaller school.
Parents wanting to move in the area because of the school only, I would serious consider Other schools with a population around 200 to 300.
Your child would benefit in a smaller school.

MV is such a wonderful primary school, full of many opportunities and activities to get involved in. The teachers are very committed to their jobs and nurture the students so well all through their primary school education. I have so many fond memories of my 7 years there and I would highly recommend sending your child there!

Teachers and all staff are excellent. So many opportunities for the kids, and an extremely caring and energetic Principal. (probably the best Principal I've ever come across!) Deaf Facility is awesome and integration is great for all kids - deaf and hearing! Only problem is its getting too big with people lying about place of residence....fix this and it will be fantastic!

Absolutely amazing school with excellent teacher and support system as well as enabling each individual student to flourish. They teach fantastic basic life skills. Truly an amazing school.

Awesome school, scores are great......My friends are really smart. Love it- we still come to school even though we've graduated. No bulling at all, good sportsmanship too ^_^ we don't put up the rude finger like that boy from Glendale =_= so anyway its a great school, highly recommend.
