Reviews | By Parent - 21 Feb 2015, Rate: average | I have a grandchild in lower primary and am very concerned with the regimented way these children are being taught. Monitored by a red light and green light. Losing time and lunch for talking or picking up rubbish if you happen to talk too much. What happened to fun. Are we being groomed into believing this is okay and our children need to stand to attention, hold their pen a certain way in order to write properly, use certain colours only, and only do as they are told. Let's just stamp out creative lateral thinking, art in the afternoon, even quiet board games and music. I worry that my grandchild no longer wants to write stories at home, because "we write a lot" at school. Or that he hardly comes home excited about what he has learned... Shame on a system that does this | |
