Casa Mia Montessori Community School has provided my son with an outstanding start to his educational experience. He is confident, loves attending school, socialises with a diverse range of families, and the staff are dedicated to his overall development. Casa Mia Montessori is a small community school and with this structure comes the challenge of administering a school in the globalised 21st century. I believe that these challenges do not impact on the quality of education and pastor care that is provided at Casa Mia. The staff are all Montessori trained and highly committed to their profession and the children and families at the school. The families are committed to the education of their children and the small community feel of Casa Mia. As with all schools, everyone's experience is different depending on what one is seeking for their child. In our family, Casa Mia is the school for us!

As a family, we love Casa Mia Montessori Community School. This school has provided our son with confidence, a love of learning and school, and the staff are dedicated to ensuring his overall development. As with all schools, everyone's experience is different - this is what makes us all unique. We have found that although there maybe challenges to adminstering a small school in the 21st century globalised world, this has never impacted on the education our son has received. The staff are all Montessori trained and are committed to the education of all children at Casa Mia. The smallness of the school is what appeals to us as this is what we wanted for our child.

I feel parents would do well to find another Montessori school in the Perth region for children to attend. The parent-run board is a beaurocratic mess and the administration department is too small and unattended to be of help to parents. Parents have no access to children during the day by phone as the office is only manned part of the day and teachers fail to answer the emergency phone as they are busy with classes. Personalities run this school, not a stable administrative department that can assist parents and students.

My child went from a kid who loved school to an emotional mess whilst in the care of this school. He began thumb-sucking and displaying other attachment disorders in his second year in attendence despite the same stable environment at home. Furthermore, my child wasn't able to learn to read or write in nearly two years here.

After leaving the school, my child was reading and writing within two months. I blame this more on the administration filling the Children's House to bursting for income rather than considering the needs of the children or the teachers in the room. Check out Treetops, Kingsley or Riverlands before enquiring here. I wish I had.
