Extremely happy with this school. We transferred late in the year and our little boy has trouble adjusting. They were magnificent and he really came out of his shell and made leaps and bounds in his learning. Their school play was phenomenal for Primary aged children. Very happy with the school their professionalism and how they helped us settle into Ballarat.

Very dissatisfied with the principal scott phillips and numerous teachers. The teachers showed favourtism when dealing with student issues. Complete lack of respect in the way certain teachers such as ms Barnes, ms Sullivan only to mention a few spoke to certain students. My son was quite unwell one day at this school and had to be sent to the sick bay by an emergency teacher on 2 occasions in the same morning. After lunch play this same day my son aoproached his regular teacher who had returned to the class ms sullivan and explained he was still feeling sick and if he could go to the sick bay.She refused him access to the sick and told him to get on with his work. I was told this by the emergency teacher when i picked my son up at the end of the day. She explained that my son looked very pale and was complaining of feeling dizzy. She sent him to the sick twice that day morning via the office staff . I had a meeting with school assistant principal Darlene Cameron to compalin that my son was refused access to the sick bay and as a parent i should have been notified so as i could take him to the doctors. During this meeting my sons teacher ms sullivan was watching thru the glass door as i was making the complaint. I was shocked to hear her scream (I AM HEAR, I AM HEAR). I reporeted this to the assistant principal who didn't act in any way.Beware this school, the principal will talk all about the school valus and how they have adopted the hands of school policy which has been in all melbournes public primary schools to stamp out rough play and bullying since 2011. But unfortunately i found that once my son was enrolled in the school their attitude and behaviour changed. There was no hands of school policy, maybe on paper but there was no enforcement in the yard or mention at regular assemblies. The princioal would call us to complain if our son was home sick even though they were notified previously that he had health issues. They were more concerned with our son having more days of than the average child. They couldn't call us to say our son was unwell to give us the option of seeking medical advice.I regulary complained to the regional complaints officer as the principal was not acting in a fair and reasonable manner when their were issues with teachers or other favoured students. My son never received an apology for his poor treatment, all we heard was we will look into it.
I'm , rate this school
