Probably the worst primary school my husband and I have ever experienced. We have 4 children and when we purchased our new home in the eastern suburbs we had to move the 2 oldest from their original (very good) primary school. Unfortunately we chose Kalinda. It is a rotten school from the incredibly aloof cold principal right down to almost all the teachers. Even the office staff are indifferent and lacking any kind of personality. Some teachers we found just downright rude and others we discovered were lovely to us in person but once the classroom doors were closed and there were no other adults around it was a different story. Bullying is rife at this school although teachers and school councillors will vehemently deny this! We have moved our kids to another local government school (along with a number of other families) and cannot believe the difference. Our kids have blossomed once away from the cold and toxic environment at Kalinda. I question why most of the teachers at Kalinda chose to become teachers in the first place, it certainly wasn't to nourish, guide and foster learning that's for sure.
I'm , rate this school
