My son started at Kamaruka which is "apparently" a specialist school for children with ADHD/ASD and other emotional issues. Possibly the most bizarre experience I have had! Anyone that has experience with children on the spectrum would know it doesn't take less than a term for them to completely settle. After less than a term when I thought my son was starting to feel comfortable the Principal basically threw us out! It come out of nowhere after a meltdown which he felt was "too loud"...Um, isn't this a school that deals with meltdowns! Stay away from this place unless you want your son to learn extreme swear words, a military style education and ZERO understanding of what autism is and how to deal with it. | | |
