Reviews | By Alumnus - 17 Nov 2022, Rate: bad | This school was really bad. I had to leave to get a decent education in order get into a technical degree at a good university. Any "amazing achievements" that the students have, is simply due to the fact they come from wealthy international families, not due to this school. They meddle into the personal lives of their students, GRADE their meditation, and have EXTREMELY low academic standards. I was teaching math to students years older than me. If you want your kids to become anything other than "artists" or pseudoscientists, STAY AWAY. | | By Parent - 22 Jun 2016, Rate: excellent | I had 2 children graduate from the Maharishi School with flying colours! They both felt stimulated, nurtured and extended and transitioned into High School easily and effortlessly. I highly recommend this school as the children are truly catered for individually and holistically. The mud slinging that has been posted on the internet especially in a so called blog has been initiated by one parent with an agenda supported by 2 other misconstrued followers. It really saddens me as they have spun what were positives into negatives to suit their agenda. One example of this is the single sex classes. Research substantiates the higher academic results of single sex classes as boys learn differently to girls and teaching methods must be applied to cater for these differences. So is that a bad thing? I think not. They came together in non core classes and in their play time so I believe that they had the best of both worlds. Why don't the parents back their statements online in this vicious blog with their name? Because it is probably the regurgitation of the same distorted opinions of 3 people. My children have fond memories of their Primary years and I am so thankful for that. | | By Parent - 28 Mar 2016, Rate: bad | Approximately 60% of students were withdrawn from the Maharishi School (Reservoir) at the end of 2015 because of the poor academic standards and dodgy behaviour of management. The school is currently being investigated by the Victorian Education Department for failing to meet the minimum standards required for registration in Victoria. This school is appalling! Avoid like the plague! | | >>More reviews... |
