When joining, we were asked to sign a letter that we would never ask to join the main campus, and my kid was pushed to the Donnybrook campus. The parents who declined to join Donnybrook were later given admission to the main campus, and we could not even ask them to join the main campus. In the Donnybrook campus, there were no facilities, and my kid started with a single room and no playground. I certainly recommend that a school should not operate without full facilities. A few years later, I went to school to ask for admission for my son in Prep. He was interviewed from a list of 4-5 questions for less than 2 minutes. Then the registrar told me that the only option is Kalkallo, the new campus or Donnybrook, and that we do not have a place here at the main campus. It was a joke that I applied for my kid at this school when he was merely four days old, and with another sibling at Donnybrook, they cannot consider my second kid at the main campus. After this, I got an offer from another private school in the area where my kid went through 45 minutes of interviews and passed with flying colours. I was present with my kid on discussions on both occasions and can undoubtedly say the standard of interview and detailed structure at the second school were much better than HAG. It is my personal view, but the current situation is that most of the kids at Donnybrook are from one community and the accent and fluency of the English language reflect it. I do not feel that most kids can even speak English with an Australian accent. The last statement on pronunciation is merely a personal view, and I would recommend checking it yourself if you consider this school. The only good thing about school is a very dedicated teacher - Rebecca Riley. I wish good luck to the school. On a side note, I also moved my second kid out of HAG Donnybrook. | | By Parent - 25 May 2021, Rate: poor | my chilled came home with rashes and all the kids in primary have headlice and with the older kids there are STD (very contagious) | | >>More reviews... |
