Teachers do not encourage students who are falling behind, don't advise parents that children are struggling, but wait until the end of semester reports which is too long to wait. They should contact parents as soon as they notice poor performance, which shows they don't see it because they are poor teachers.
Constant problems with the portal for my son trying to upload work.
The schools attitude to bullying was an absolute joke. My son had to report every lunch time to staff to tell them when he was being bullied on the bus, that meant he sat on the office very lunch time waiting to see some ineffectual staff member, while the bullies lived it up in the playground. My son just gave up telling me there was no point because it was not stopping the bullying.
I would NOT recommend this school
I would not recommend this school to any child. The complete syllabus is not even taught. Children that are behind are left behind. My child has been at this school for three years and I have watched her marks and personality drop. This school does not embrace creativity or individuality. I feel that the school is
More worried about the buildings and the way it looks than the students and community within the school. I wouldn't waste your money, the local public schools are ranking higher in the hsc results
I agree with all of the above my child started the school well but soon fell foul of the lack of monitoring and organisation . No one notices the bullying it seems and I have never seen a little person so squashed and despairing .
The standard GET OUT CLAUSE the school uses is "well it is not for everyone"
although I have never seen a more ruthless collection of fees from "everyone"
8 meetings later and after 2 years of stress I removed my child. After 3 days in a new school the teacher came to me to ask if anyone had spoken to me in the past about "working memory issues" !!!! 3 days and this wonderful teacher spotted what apparently 6 teachers in 18 months had failed to spot.
My child after having spent 2 wasted years is now again a happy confident learner who comes out smiling every day.
I attended this school for approximately 3 years. I can wholeheartedly say it was the worst education & schooling experience I have ever had across my rigorous global education where I studied the MYP & IB programmes. From the lack of teacher involvement to the unorganized management & senior leadership structure, the school failed in so many factors and I find it hard to pinpoint one good thing. The campus is beautiful, but what's on the outside isn't always what counts. You know the saying.... you can put lipstick on a pig. There was no learning support for areas in which students needed assistance, the entire faculty seemed too distracted by "innovation", that the core values of teaching, engagement, motivation & support got lost. My personal favourite was the numerous occasions where teachers told me to google things because they either A) Didn't know the answer, or B) Did not simply care enough. This was approximately 5 years ago, so I can not comment on the state of the school at present, but I sure hope it has improved drastically, as it's what was desperately needed.
Horrid bullying & it still continues .
Even on the bus the bullying by the boys of this school is horrendous.
We went to Christian school up the coast ! Completely normal and zero bullying .

I’m surprised to see the negative reviews above. Having been at the school for 2 years, my kids are happy, excelling academically and have been extended where needed. I’ve been called when my son hasn’t done his homework or there is a concern. I love the Christian influence in the school and the community aspect. I see this as a huge plus in my children’s education coupled with the progressive education. Keep up the good work NBCS.
