Reviews | By Parent - 31 Aug 2022, Rate: excellent | Princes Hill is an average school. More academic than arty as many would think. School situation in a middle class which gives its reputation some merit though it’s not what it seems. Whilst gender issues are embraced Neuro atypical students- Asd, Adhd, are not supported nor understood. Senior teachers act like vigilantes - all that’s missing is a hero cape. Building desperately old and tiresome. Nothing new here- programs bland except for music where most students entered school with prior knowledge- no credit to the teachers. When in your look and think carefully about this place. It’s not as ‘cool’ and progressive as you might think. . Needs new leadership. | | By Parent - 23 Aug 2015, Rate: excellent | Hi I am an ex student of Princes Hill secondary school and was wondering 1965 onwards til year 11. I was wondering if any school records are available at the school in terms of student names etc. Would you please let me if know of anything is available if at all. I recall there was a fire at the school which may have destroyed some records. Looking forward to hearing from you. Kind regards Libie Walford. The students are respectful of others and overall very nice. Unlike our experience in another city school, we have not encountered any bullying. Classes work very well. In year 11 and 12, student workshops, meetings... are held on Wednesdays - day off, not during class time. The timetable is well laid out with equal time for each subject (single and double periods). No interruptions to class time - management excellent. Parents can check daily if their child is present at school and for punctuality to every class - accurate records kept on line (daily and by period). Overall, a well balanced school with a very decent student population (no evidence of extreme behaviour (drug, alcohol, truancy, poor teaching skills and material) unlike what my other children witnessed in other city school). Strongly recommend this school as it does provide the appropriate academic information and social relevance to its students. | |
