Great school! My daughter just completed Year 12 there and did really well. Teachers were supportive and encouraging. The facilities and range of programs offered are great too.

My two girls, who are very different in personality, love being at Kilbreda. They’ve had many different opportunities and been well supported. The facilities are great and fees very reasonable. The school has really improved in the last couple of years. I think the last couple of negative reviews are clearly written by the same person with a gripe.

The journey at Kilbreda started well.
Year 7 was exciting and new. Teachers lovely and every day was a new adventure.
Year 8 was more settled. Girls have become accustomed to the secondary school routines and they are still just little girls.
Year 9 was the beginning of a different world. Girls form cliques, bitchiness and bullying prevails. The teachers have no idea how to handle the situation and every day is a challenge.
Year 10. The pattern of bullying persists. The teachers are jaded and worn down. Academically only the bright girls are keeping their head above water. Any one average or struggling are left behind.
Year 11. It's now not just girls you need to watch for bullying. Teachers are just as bad. Principal's pay lip service to issues and cover up problems. Girls are moody, unhappy and there is no support.
Year 12. Kept persevering as there had to be a light at the end of the tunnel. Regrettably, no. We should have left the school at the end of year 10 or before. Final year should be exciting with the hope of entering the adult world. Instead there is continued bullying by girls and teachers. There is a disdain between year levels not seen previously.
It took every effort to keep our child in school and despite promises from teachers and principals, nothing got better. Like an abused child desperate for the promised change, we kept going back.
So glad to see the back of this school and absolutely would NOT recommend it to anyone.
If you are from the Bayside area and think this is a good choice of school, think again.
