A lot has happened since 2015. The anti Bullying policy is in place but poorly adhered to. With bullying parents not comunicated with and children moved between classes to stop complaints. I have first hand seen a child jump into a classroom window and try to hit children and teachers with a stick. I'm all for inclusion yet there is not enough controll of the children being bought into the school to gain extra funds for special needs. It's also very difficult to get in touch with any of the teachers via email, The office blocks any incomming traffic, there is no way of searching current teachers working at the school and the 3 Vice principles and the Principle enjoy white washing anything that happens at the school. Do not dare use social media to get in touch or make any complaints the school very quickly moves to defensive mode. If you have a problem and feel like the school staff are not helping you in trouble. Turning to the education department is a mine field who encourage you to speek with the school who wont listen to start with. While my children have attended NVSS and come out the other side unscathed there are too many parents who have pulled their children out and moved completley away from the area. This years principle has started out ok but is very quickly trying to pick up the pieces left from the previous priniple of 4 years who has moved to put in place her little team of administration into place. Both the P&C and the Coucil are now primarily school teachers. If I am not mistaken the P&C is for Parents and Citizens, now when it comes to moving any motions the parents dont stand a chance as the P&C and the School council is primarily Teachers from the school. Enacting change is virtually impossible. Not to mention the meeting times reflect school hours and not the working family hours so its impossible to attent executive meetings or P&C meetings.
Be warned your children will recieve a fair and good education but if something is amis, bullying or a slow learning this place is not for you. Also if you cannot afford Ipads for your children be warned they will be segregated and put into the poor class where apparently their learning will not be affected! Yet you must buy an Ipad for them. Go figure.
I wish you well.

NVSS is amazing all my children go here, and love it. The teachers go above and beyond their call of duty to help all students. And a no bulling policy is strictly in place, and will not be tolerated at all.
I'm , rate this school
