The suburb is gradually improving since I moved in 5 years ago. There is still some work to be done, but there is a friendly community around where I live and I like it here.
By me - 03 Feb 2014
interested to know which part of reservoir By gbn is from as you wrote a comment on 19/12/13 and Im looking to move to reservoir but not sure which part of reservoir. obviously I want the friendly part and not the part where people are running through my back yard

to By Me,I suggest the Regent or oakhill areas in Reservoir. I live in the Oakhill area which is between tyler st/ boldrewood/broadway and then west of plenty rd. Regent is located between regent st and ? Henty st. I recommend to be in a nice area that you stay west of cheddar rd/ plenty rd/ boldrewood parade and south of broadway. I have also heard the merrilands estate and edwardes park area is quite nice, and those areas are a fair bit cheaper than the oakhill and regent areas. Just stay clear of northland and the future commission project which will be on the corner of McMahons and Cheddar rd. These are the areas that give reservoir a bad name. The demographic of people living in reservoir is ever changing since Preston prices went up. That's why we bought in Reservoir. We were looking in Thornbury/ Preston/ Rosanna but were a bit depressed by what we could get for the amount we wanted to pay. We liked the fact that their were beautiful period homes on massive blocks in Oakhill, compared to the 300-400m2 block in Preston and Thornbury. Good Luck! hope you find a home soon.
