Rose Park is a gorgeous, leafy green suburb right next to the heart of the city. Its houses are open fronted with leafy gardens - I fell in love with it immediately.
The primary school (Rose Park) and high school (Maryattville) are both excellent and very friendly schools. I spoke with 8 other schools in the area before I settled on these two. It's not easy to find a school that performs well and has a friendly community, but Rose Park manages to do both.
As a new resident, I can't speak highly of the area enough. There's nowhere else in SA I'd rather live. Good luck in your travels.

Our family recently moved into the area so that we could access Rose Park primary and Maryatville high. We moved to get our kids into these great schools and so that we'd have a decent sized back yard.
There is also close shopping (Woolworths, Coles, IGA, Foodland) and shops to keep the wife happy (Country Road, witchery).
1km from the CBD? You can't go wrong. Top spot.
