Set in the serene river precinct of Old Fyansford, this is number 2 of 6 Historic Paper Mill Workers Cottages which are the earliest known, very rare examples of purpose-built company housing in Victoria, pre-dating World War 1. Deigned by Joseph Watts, construction was completed in 1879 and the cottages became home to Barwon Mill workers, until the Mill ceased operation in 1923.
