You remember the dream don't you? The one we were taught as kids that were almost our birth right as Australians? The modest house in a decent suburb surrounded by good schools, plenty of shops and a great big back yard. Sound familiar?
What we find today is very, very different. Multi level dwellings, sub divided blocks and houses built fence line to fence line leaving no room for the traditional game of back yard cricket.
The ones that are on big blocks are fiercely fought after and more often than not quickly become priced way out of the league of the average buyer just looking to get a start on the property ladder.
