We LOVE this school! It is by far the best educational experience we have had and we have watched our children blossom and go from strength to strength. Small class sizes, engaged and committed teaching staff that go above and beyond what you would expect, and a real sense of community and belonging that is rare these days. The Principals know every child by name, and their families and greet them at the gate both on the way in and on the way out. Overall, great value for money and an environment that doesn't just teach academic subjects but a broad range of extra curricular activities and personal development and growth. We have not experienced any issues with bullying because the school is small and personal enough that any "friendship" issues, or instances of bullying behaviour are spotted early and dealt with decisively. We feel like we are part of a village community and it takes a village to raise a child. So much more than a school!

My son is in his second year at The Lakes College, I have found the school to be absolutely amazing. I am extremely fussy with educational standards and value for money and I believe the school delivers on all accounts. My son has blossomed from a smart but very shy child to a very confident and high achieving student supported by his teacher and school to push through his insecurities. The school has strict behaviour guidelines and will not tolerate bullying. The teachers are amazing and know all the students by name. The principals of the school are so Involved with the children it is just wonderful.
I know there are 2 reviews on this site that are negative however I am sure I know who wrote them and I can assure you their reviews are very much false and the result of the parents not facing reality.
I love the variety of specialist programs the children experience from Prep. The exposure to music and LOTE. They have a great extension program and support classes if required.
The after school care is excellent and their after school extra curricular program is great. My son has enjoyed tennis, table tennis, master chef, golf, soccer and Lego club.
I explore you to visit the school and you can see for yourself the wonderful school that awaits.

My son attended The Lakes College from prep, and at $7000+ a year I am very unimpressed by our experience.
The school has incredibly high expectations for 5 year old's. From what I observed, the teachers talk to the children as if they are in high school. It's the opposite of the nurturing and supportive environment you would want for your child. I think the teachers can't switch from this mindset when talking to parents either as I find myself condescended at every conversation with the them. I also found the Deputy Head of Primary, Mr. Richardson, to be incredibly rude to parents and cold and indifferent to the children.
We also spoke to a carer who's child was having behavioural issues and was subsequently asked to leave the school! I would have expected understanding and support not just giving up on the child and excluding them. I can't imagine how the carer must have felt. Clearly the school didn't care at all.
I also find it offensive that a school receiving so much money in tuition fees, government funding and having the tax benefits of a religious institution would so frequently need to fund raise money and take donations for improvements to the school facilities. Where does all that money go!?
Overall, I feel horrible that I subjected my child to this awful environment for so long. I do not recommend.

After talking to several parents whose children attend the lakes college I am disgusted in what I have been told. The school does not deal with bullying in any way shape or form. With the fees being around $7000 you would think they would do everything in their power to want their students to stay with them! Disgusted in what I have heared! Definitely not going through with application!

This is school puts so much stress on the students. My daughters come home balling their eyes out, the reason for this is having 8 assignments at the one time and they were all due within 3 weeks. Not only do they have sporting activities after school they both also have part time jobs. I wouldn't recommend this school, although the principal is the loveliest man you will ever meet its the total opposite for the Secondary Coordinator.

Teachers are enthusiastic and easy to communicate with. Subjects and extra curricular activities for seniors limited due to low numbers of students but school willing to try to access new activities if requested. In saying this if you are after great teachers and the individual attention this school could be for you. Most subjects not available for seniors can also be accessed through BSDE. Grade 8 and below have larger student numbers and with new school facilities being built they will have access to larger range of subjects. I agree with it being a friendly school.

The principals are the best! The teachers are the best! The students are the best! The whole of the lakes college is so friendly and loving it is honestly the best school ever and I am a parent, the uniform makes your sons and daughters look like they are smart and caring and definitely make a good impression on everyone around them. Your children will benefit later on in there life when they are working in a great job that shows how smart they are!

The lakes college which is in NORTH LAKES not mango hill, is the best school that you will ever find in the entire world!
