this school has affected a lot of students but not in a good way. The teachers give unnecessary detentions and even twist or lie to give them out. The teachers are aware of these lies yet nothing gets done about it. They only care about their reputation and some teachers treat and speak to the students in a disgusting way. My daughter went to this school in search of a new opportunity, yet they may have sports and extracurricular activities available, This does not take away from the fact that they will do just about anything to withhold their "excellent" reputation. My daughter's friends struggle with mental health issues and the school does offer a school counselor but unqualified staff are giving instructions and forcing students into things that only qualified personnel should be doing. The office ladies speak horribly to students, and even parents on occasion. My daughter is even scared to go to sick bay out of fear of them. Do not go here.

this school is horrible dont go here or send your child here because this school is no diffrent to a public school, bullying here is severe and teachers are shit dont ever go here, the teachers are rude like the head teachers and vice princible, they dont care about your mental welbeing and all they care about is how they represent the school

Don't send your kids to this school the students are rude and down right disrespectful to me. Some of my friends were bullied by most of the cohort just because we are in learning support.
There is one thing I like about the school I recommend the extra co curricular like band and sport because that is the only way to hide from all the bullies. I also Love the music teachers they also support me from all the bad times i'm having.

Whilst I performed well in my HSC here and was fortunate to have some good teachers now that I am reviewing my daughter's private school options, I wouldn't recommend. It seems that nothing has changed with the focus on drama and music. Academically rather average. It depends what you are looking for your child but with the increase in fees in recent years I agree with comments about the value. Facilities are limited. Interesting comments about the focus on the schools reputation I felt that it was like that so many years ago. But all private schools are the same with that. As a former student, the achievements of many successful individuals post school were never recognised. It seemed the Bridge was more focused on which former student got married.

If you are of colour, don't go here. If you are not born into the culture of the North Shore, also don't go here. If you want equal access to opportunities, don't go here. If you want your child to go to a school where its school vice-headmaster can look a person of colour in the eye, don't go here.

Teachers were amazing, extra curricular opportunities were amazing. Girls were horrible. The way the school dealt with bullying was also horrible. Mum was in and out of the school consistently throughout my 6 years. In year 12 there were days where I couldn’t attend classes or even the school itself as I was afraid of the nastiness of the other girls. After series and years of attacks on me, the perpetrators were suspended for two days on the last week of highschool (year 12). Laughable.

as someone with mental health issues the school was horrible, not only was there not even one nice girl in my grade but i can not talk well of any of the teachers or year cos. the school only cares about the people who perform well and their reputation. the students are down right horrible acting like they rule the place and that you have to abide by there rules are. your reputation at the school will only be based off what the most popular girl in the year has said and the teachers and staff will do nothing to help you except tell the girls to put up with you sitting with them and share all your private mental health issues with other students and have them make fun of you because of that. i would honestly rather send my child to a school in western sydney then to brigidine college

A parent on this website commented on the school saying the accusations of these students were simply a few “disgruntled people'', and that the best way to is to visit the college and go on the school tour. This is strange seeing that as a parent they are sending THEIR daughters to become STUDENTS of the school and the girls who are telling their experiences of the school are STUDENTS who have EXPERIENCED the school. This is quite silly, I as a student know this because I was one of the girls giving tours to the parents and the school out right told the students giving tours to withhold particular information just in case it would show the school in a bad light and that might “ruin their reputation”. If you attend this school, you would’ve quickly gained an understanding that the school clearly prioritises their reputation more than anything else to a fault. I can only say that everything that these students have said in their reviews is true and should be taken seriously.

TW//SH. This school has negatively affected my mental health in more ways than you could imagine. Not only are some of the girls just straight out rude, the teachers are too. It almost seems as if the staff have absolutely no regard for the mental health of students, and almost take our emotions lightly. Thank God for the counsellors who seem to be the only human beings on the school grounds with a single grain of empathy. It was also rumored that teachers had a bet that whoever could confiscate the most phones, would win a bottle of wine. While this may seem like some harmless fun, it is almost as if they do not take these absolutely absurd punishments seriously, and really only do it for personal gain. The rules at this school are too strict, and the school really only cares for their reputation. There was an occasion where a student was told to cover her SH scars as it would look bad on the schools end. Overall, it is your decision when enrolling your daughter, but I would just like to inform you to take another look at what goes on behind locked gates. It is almost as if the Catholic morals portrayed and advertised by the school are only upheld so that the staff faculty can make a living and appeal to that of Catholicism.

If people are silly enough to value the individual comments made by a small number of disgruntled people with any school - so be it. The best way is to come and visit the College, take a tour or speak to any parent who has their child at the College. The College does it's best with the resources it has to give every girl a holistic and life-enriching education. The staff are committed and help all girls to flourish despite whatever journey of life they have experienced.

A lot of the girls do drugs and sell drugs. The girls (year 8 girls and year 10 girls) recently got in trouble for sending nudes to students at another school. The year 10 students also had an incident where a group of girls had been caught vaping in the school's bathroom. The fees are too high for what the school offers. The teachers and staff are very sensitive about their reputation to a fault as they leave out certain facts about the school when giving tours to parents, (the apparent lack of scandals their students go through and the fact the school has a LGBTQ club as they want to appeal to catholic families). Year 9 students also had mocked a science teacher by rudely gesturing when her back was turned and being overall disrespectful. This resulted in the teacher crying. The education is not terrible and is alright but the environment is not a very good place for young girls as many girl's get bullied and mocked by their peers. The school happens to pretend that their students are diverse in ethnicity and culture. This is untrue and girls with very different ethnic backgrounds should very much not enroll in this school as they may feel lonely or different. I still go to this school as i respect my parents wishes and i am grateful for the time and money they spend on my future.

While it's certainly true the fees are somewhat high considering the resources and facilities Brigidine has to offer, I really would recommend this school to anyone. There is just a common respect shared between students and teachers here and a really caring culture that makes most girls feel really at home and safe to be themselves at this school. The mentoring system alongside dedicated and lovely Year Coordinators and their pastoral care sessions provide a really effective support system to the majority of girls here. It's the effort put into little parts of the school such as these that show the school's dedication to the individual's wellbeing and growth as a person, which is something I have continued to appreciate far beyond graduation. Academically Brigidine is quite competitive but fosters a learning environment that values hard work, diligence and growth over pure achievement. 5 stars for Brigo, always :)

I would rate this as average except you should expect more for the fees. Nothing exceptional or even good enough to justify the expense. Probably good for struggling students but not good for girls that excel - better opportunities at local schools or if you want to spend a bit more it's probably worth it as there really are no facilities at this school and everything about it is so average.

Everyone around is very nice and friendly and everyone gets lockers. Every teacher in the school as well as the office staff are so nice, helpful and supportive.
You can also participate in many different activities like drama, dance, sports, choir, yoga, public speaking and still many more. This is an AMAZING school!

Brigidine college is a wonderful and tallented seccondary. My daughter is sixteen and is dreding the day she has to graduate this fantastic school. Brigidine is in my heart forever. Even though my daughter attending this school has put us into debt as we are on a low income it was worth it!
I will love and respect brigiine forever.

Brigidine College St Ives is a very good school. I've been to many schools before and Brigidine is the best.
