I am a former student of this school, and I must say I loved this school so much that I’d beg my mum when I’m sick to still go but I’m sister still goes and she’s told my family how her favourite teacher has changed and along with most of the rest. Which came to a shock because I loved all the teachers that’s she’s telling me that has just snapped and changed.
This school now does every event possible for money, took away all the play equipment, half of the oval left. Principal is terrible, I didn’t mind her but she makes the most terrible decisions.
When I was a captain of the school the principal dragged me into her office because my sister backed up her best friend. The car park is horrendous, you have to line up and people cut through. My mum got yelled at by a parent that was new to the school and didn’t know about the line rule.
I suggest to try find another school. It was an amazing school but it has just changed and going downhill. It’s a school we’re it’s bullied or get bullied or stay silent and don’t be a kid. If your kid is up to it then sure but I suggest not to.

This school was amazing when the old principal was there. My child started in prep and had to leave this year in grade 5 because of the new principal that took over in his grade 3. No support for children with issues, triggers students with difficulties, bullying of children and staff. No play equipment, no language learnt, refuses to allow anyone into the school including parents. Staff look stressed and miserable. False "mandatory" reports to child protection. This principal has destroyed what was once a great school that had a country and community feel. Cancelled Christmas concert and Easter bonnet parade that was part of that school for decades. Very, very sad that this school has been destroyed by a control freak.
The list goes on and on.

My child comes home every afternoon crying to me about being bullied there is one child in particular who seems to have problems with my child regularly my daughter crys herself to sleep most nights and my daughter also is having issues attending school she used to love school but now all because of the vice principal's daughter she does not feel like going to school let alone communicating with her friends or even her close family.
And that's not all of it the canteen is shit with very little food or food that us hardly cooked they never have any food available or it is expensive for cheap little things.
The principal is absolutely ridiculous all the teachers favorite students and dont give a damn about the rest.
Students are all very nasty and rude.
The grade 5/6's are pressured and treated like a pile of horse shit the 5/6 students are always being lectured or being manipulated by the principal julie leguen who has set up mickleham primary school in the worst way possible there is never any excursions or events due to the lack of effort and money the school has had a really rough time the past nearly three years renovating and opening up the new part of the school there us bo playground and hasn't been for 2 and a half years due to the new buildings. I definitely reccomend sending your child elsewhere somewhere where your kids can have and learn in a safe, healthy and happy learning environment. I cant even give the school a rating because I cant choose 0 stars and I wouldn't even bother giving them 1 star I hope this helped and I hope you realise how toxic this school is and not to enroll your child ever!

I have been at this school since prep and it was really good for maybe 3 to 4 years then this new principal came along and ruined our school, she chooses favorites picks on and targets the grade 5&6s.she threatens the year 6s by basically isolating them and saying they won't be able to graduate and not go to all school events. they let troubled kids get away with bad behavior, so they keep doing it. most the teachers are really good, and the school is good it's just the principal who ruins the school. I graduated last year but my brother still goes there but I know when I was there, I loved the school and teachers but hated the really bad principal.

This school was good for the first few years but as soon as the new principal came the school is so bad. I graduated last year and and have been there since prep the teachers pick favourites and only hears one person out if something has went wrong. So happy I left this school is really bad. I do not recomand your children through that.

We chose this school based on the country feel and sense of community however over the past few years the principal has really ruined the culture and destroyed the community togetherness that once existed. It’s more like a dictatorship with zero consequences for poor staff behavior and lack of leadership. The school is rife with bullies who’s appalling behavior is also ignored and allowed to continue without consequence. It is such a shame as the school was once a place of inclusion, acceptance, cooperation and safety but that certainly can’t be said now. New buildings will be great for the schools outward appearance but without a change to the leadership the school will never improve.

Finishing up at the end of this year thank god what I have witnessed in the past few years is a monster who has destroyed the grade 5&6 students broken parents who are only doing what is best for there children been teaching here for a couple of years now and thank god never again the women who turns the heads is a Manipulating bully who should not be a principal kids that I have got to know well are treated so badly i understand why they have no trust in the education system it absolutely heart breaking

The school is now picking and choosing which grade 6 can graduate attend sports day why because our kids speak the truth about the principal and the teachers there they are bullies this place is worse place for children

bullying in this school is a common thing I wouldn’t recommend sending your kids to this school unless you want them to be bullied their whole primary school life’s. As I am a student in this school I know the teachers principal included don’t do anything about the situations that have been happening and only do what’s best for them. They don’t hear their students out and think they’re always right. Theses teachers treat us with horrible disrespect and awful manners. Overall I would not recommend sending any of your kids here unless you want to get heaps of phone calls home about bullying. These teachers don’t tell any of the students parents anything that happens in the yards they rely on the students to be more responsible than the teachers are. in full respect a very bad and disrespectful school.

You can build a new school but it doesn’t what’s in side the building as long as the leadership team stays the same nothing changes treatment of the children is disgusting teachers are sheep with no backbone with the right leadership the school might be saved but unless the education department steps in parents are setting there children up to fail what you are being shown on a tour is fake wait till you need support you will be shut straight down If you child comes home and tells you something listen to them and act on it if your child doesn’t want to attend it’s probably because there being screamed at by teachers support your children in the right way front m the beginning by not sending them to this prison

I love Mickleham Primary School! It is the best school I have ever gone to. I haven't gotten bullied at this school once! And I've been here since year 3. This school is amazing. It has a great principal and great teachers that care for everyone and don't see any differences in people just because they are from a different country or have darker skin. The students are very respectful and kind as well. Only some students don't listen but just because of those some people, you are disgracing the whole school. I absolutely love Mickleham Primary School! Today was my last day and yesterday was my graduation. And the 5/6 teachers did an amazing job setting everything up. So please, I very much recommend you enroll your children in Mickleham Primary School.

The school needs a review from the top bullying fights kids flipping tables in the class rooms no kids are innocent but the same kids seem to cause problems with no follow through maybe new teaching staff and principals the principals seem to not won’t confront parents on issues everything is swept under the bluestones

My child started Prep at this school this year and is absolutely thriving. She looks forward to coming to school each day and it continues to amaze me just how much she has learned in a matter of months. We could not ask for more from her teacher who has handled the preps' transition to school incredibly well. I feel welcome and a part of the school community and have always found the staff approachable. There is no denying that the ageing facilities need some work however the quality of the teaching in my experience, is great!

Heard about these reviews today thought I’d have a read I’ve put my nieces and nephews and my own children through this school and I’m still encouraging other families members to be part of this fantastic community at the moment we have 8 between us there fantastic community spirit supporting teachers and staff members I still have 3 years with the school looking ve being part of the mickleham family will for sure be bring my grandson to this school as well 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I can’t believe these reviews I’ve just read. I want to write some good stuff. the concert was the most amazing and enjoyable concert I’ve ever attended at any of my children’s schools. The teachers spoke nicely to the children and I saw them sitting with them during the songs. The teachers talked to me about my boy and made me feel part of the community even though it had grown. I love the office staff and have always found the teachers and principal easy to talk to. I think this school is great.

Mickleham PS is worse than bad. Move out of the area if this is your only schooling option for your child. Your child’s education and wellbeing is too important to gamble with. Don’t enroll your children here or get out before your children suffer long-term damage.

My child was bullied through prep and is now failing in grade 1! We are zoned only to Mickleham primary school so don't have a choice where we send our children as the private schools have a wait list. I have brought my concerns up with the principal and have never had any follow up. This school has terrible communication! No good!

Mickleham school values: disrespect, dishonesty, exclusion, deceit and a bullying culture that will scar your child for a long time. The teachers are bullies, the administration staff are rude and the principal has no control of the staff. Do not send your child to this school. Mickleham PS offers a sub-standard education, social engineering where children are not respected and concerns raised are not responded to. The victims are treated like the problem and the bullies and bullying behaviour continues without resolution.
