they care about your uniforms more than they care about your education smh. if i say my socks are in the washing machine then my socks are in the goddamn washing machine. they ask me why i didnt do my homework and even when im telling the truth and i have a good reason they give me a matter of concer. mind you if a student has 6 of these they instantly get detention no questions asked, they ask why i have two earrings, like whats it to you? i know a girl that was suspended because a teacher assumes she was being disrespectful when she was wongly accused and i was in the class so thats how i know. what'd the assisstant principal and year coodinator do? pretended to listen to the victim then the next day 'unfortunately' gave her the news that she had been suspended. believing teachers without any proof. disgusting school. also students are bullies and menaces. dont come here for your own good.

the science department for this school is horrible, most of the science teachers dont even know what they're doing and students are left to study content my themselves. all they care about is uniform and in addition to that they degrade the neighbouring schools. when you enter the school there are a few teachers who scold you for not wearing your blazer inside or wearing incorrect uniform. there are also some really nasty teachers here. they say the most out of pocket things to students and make assumptions about them. there are a few teachers who are extremely kind and nice to talk to, compared to others. the academic aspect of this school is fine.

I graduated here in 2013 so i've been an ex student for a while now. Didn't have the best experience here with either students or teachers. A lot of the students are bullies etc. A lot of the teachers I came across over my years here were downright nasty in the way they talk to you. I've only come a cross a few kind and caring teachers.
I was also treated like I was stupid and that I would not succeed in life after school since I was poor with my grades etc. Well guess what I didn't listen to any of the teachers and went on to become a Lawyer.

hoenstly, I still attend this school and i dont feel safe at it at all, the girls are really rude and if you dont get up to their perfect standards or are quiet, sit alone, dosent talk much, the girls pick on you and make you feel like you don't belong, the teachers don't do anything about it either.

this is the worst school ever do not come here the only thing they care about is the damn school unifrom the staff are mad rude and we barely learn anything there are always teachers at the front of the school telling you to put on your blazer and if you don't they will give you a matter of concern which is so annoying Mrs. Harding is the worst of them all she is so annoying and I hate her I hate this school ever since I've been here my mental heath has gotten worst.

This school is literally terrible. I was lied to and deceived coming here. The principal said "the girls here are really welcoming and kind" but the moment I stepped in there were already girls wearing and yelling at each other. The teachers also need to be inspected because all they do is make us copy off the board, do work on google classroom while they get to relax, or answer worksheets. As a person who struggles with mental health, this school has made me have thoughts of suicide. The girls here are toxic and it got to the point where I was scared of coming to school. The teachers barely do anything to ensure students' well-being is okay. All they care about is their image; if the students look presentable. There are always teachers standing outside telling the students to put their blazers on and if they are not wearing we get a matter of concern. All the girls here only care about boys and "relationships" like you are literally in high school. The only nice person there is Mrs. Thompson and the counsellor, they have my whole heart. Please do not send your daughter here, they will get bullied and their mental health will get really bad. I recommend enrolling her into Bethlehem College Ashfield or Fairfield High school they are much superior to this school.

I finally got accepted into a new school so i can move from here and this had to be the worst school ever. Staff are liars, there are really bad teachers there and only a few good ones. The assistant principal is really rude and cares more about students who wear their jumpers without blazers than our wellbeing and education. Most of the rules here are super stupid like "you can only wear a jumper in winter if you put your blazer over it" or "if you wear a blazer walking in the school you need to wear it walking out". Not to mention they degrade other schools also. Last year I encountered some of the worst humanly possible people who made me scared to go back to this place and have trauma going one of them got expelled though. To sum it up, this school gave me a lot of trauma and I am so happy to leave. Don't be fooled by the "nice" school and "nice" looking staff guys don't come here

Schools focus needs to shift from appearances and perception into student welfare and safety. School lacks good communication. The extreme rules like wearing blazers in summer needs to be reconsidered. The school culture is quite oppressive and not empowering. Not an easy school to come into with out friends because of the demographic. If I could sum up "Not all that glitters is gold"- Schools focus needs to change and student wellbeing needs to take the forefront.

This school needs to be inspected by the department of education. The teachers, staff and principal do not want to know or act on anything that is of a concern, because they want the school to look good. If you are going to send your daughter or daughters to this school make sure you teach them about bullying, and to speak up if they are being bullied. This school also has other serious issues of concern but I will not mention here as they are quite bad.

I’m not going to waste my energy explaining myself in thorough detail, but I will sum it up. For the years of anomalies I experienced at the hands of this school by both the teachers and students — who bullied me. There is only one teacher who looked out for my studies and treated me as a human which I will never forget. Please stay away, I’m not being biased, but the proof is in the pudding and many other reviewers online have had a diabolical experience here. At this school I have had a lot of difficult experiences, the students I can bypass and forgive as they were also young, however experiencing these “incidents” at the hands of adults when I was just a child and adults condoning things like bullying in the classrooms and school environment directed towards me and not doing anything about it? Utterly appalling. I got bullied for being “shy”, “quiet”, “weird”, students would copy off my work and I would do their assignments for them in hopes of making a friend. Since I left I’ve encountered a lot of people from my grade who bullied me, and even a few teachers I’ve seen in public, I didn’t tremble as I once did though and I’ve even made small talk with a few of the students. I’m glad to say I’ve overcome this stain in my life which will always be Mary MacKillop catholic college. I’m not giving the school a “bad” rating the word “poor” is much more fitting, it’s taught me exactly what kind of people to steer away from, Ive learnt many lessons, such that if people treat you badly it is a reflection of them and their insecurities in life (whether it be appearance, career, financial, inadequacy, family problems and so forth). I pity them who act like that towards young people, whatever experiences I had at Mary MacKillop in the hands of teachers, generally employees and students is not Catholic whatsoever. The academic aspect of the school, is okay, the teachers for STEM (particularly science) subjects have favourites and will patronise you if you are not one, thus making your senior years a lot more complicated than they should be. The favouritism that teachers exemplify at this school is an endemic. Some teachers are very neutral and thus able to teach (20% of them) but the other 80% are.... I can’t find the exact word but — a bit more biased with their support, marking, teaching methods, assisting you and will make you walk on eggshells for any years you are at the school. If you recognise that there are too many red flags whilst a student at this school, then do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. I’ve realised the demographic of the school students and their parents is highly traditional, black and white and have no knowledge of things like bullying, and generally any social difficulties one may have at school since they come from traditional backgrounds with ideologies and cultures that instil you to “respect your elders, teachers...”, hence they may sweep it under the carpet if you express any of your problems because they just want you to have an education. Consequently with these traditional ideologies your parents may insist on staying at the school regardless of any antics you’ve experienced at the hands of students or teachers, or you yourself may even sweep it under the carpet as you are taught many of these beliefs by your guardians. I’m going to stop my review here because I can go on forever. There is just so many problems here that I can’t delve into, it’s way too long and it loops around forever. I’m writing this review so no one else has to go through what I went through and to clear my conscious. Nevertheless, many high schools can unfortunately provide you with this same experience, it is out of our control, such is life.

As a past student it's a shame I can't say anything good about this school. The teachers weren't friendly at all. Lazy group of unprofessionals who never focused on students as individuals. They would rather point out that skirts weren't long enough and put more effort in handing out detention slips to students who weren't wearing their blazers. I had no problem with the students but it was the ideology of the school as a whole that ruined my experience. I did well once graduating but that's because I took it upon myself in my final year to teach myself. Thanks to the internet.

Absolutely terrible school. As an ex student who has attended many schools European countries and Australia, attending this school was the worst experience I’ve ever had. I’m a quiet individual who puts my head down and tries her best. I was never a trouble maker in school and although this school didn’t make me out to be a trouble maker, they did make me out to be stupid and put me below others, and not in a nice way either.
I would like to warn parents not to enrol their daughters in this school. There is one in particular, Mr Grana. An absolute bully. Treated both myself and my parents as if we were stupid. I had chosen specific subjects for my senior years and he told me I’m incapable and put me down badly. He belittled me and put me in tears. He questioned my abilities and basically assumed that my parents had chosen my subjects for me. What an absolute joke. He was a discriminating, extremely condescending and very, very rude man.
The ladies who work at the front desk had mood problems and clearly hated their job, long faces and eye rolls. Not something a student wants to see first thing walking into school every morning.
I have been humiliated in front of my peers and had my laptop taken away by the very aggressive Mrs Frost all because she wasn’t getting the money she wanted from my Mum. Full of greed and had no empathy for us, did not want to work with us and compromise.
Bad atmosphere full of bitchy girls and mean staff.
They’re just after people’s money. They don’t care about education and I am so happy to be out of there.
This “school”, or should I say, a group of bullies who are just after money, should be ashamed of themselves.

If I had any success coming out of this school I credit only myself and the very FEW excellent teachers that taught here. This school cares only for its appearance and not the quality of education and seems to spend all their money accordingly. You leave this school believing that the perceptions of others matter more than being a well rounded individual.

To be honest I'm a really ashamed to be attending this school since it has such a bad rep. The teachers are bad and if you want be smart don't come here! I really wish I could go to another school. They lured us in with fancy MacBooks but the teachers barely teach us and our school has a super bad rep. A lot of drama happens and the atmosphere is just really bad
