A bigoted food shamer and her friends tried to cause havoc at school by critizing someone about the food the person ate and being hateful about the whole thing. The food shamer was even abrasive towards the person's parent during the end of Work Experience. DISGUSTING and VULGAR!

i hate this school, the library teacher is so stupid. i can't play video games, but i can read? Thats so stupid, they're both forms of entertainment?!?!?!?!. Why can i do one but not the other???? It's not like i actually learn anything by reading books.

Honestly, looking back at this high school, it wasn't as bad as it seemed. The principal is someone who I would never agree with but she tried. There were a lot of stupid rules, especially for a public school. Almost seemed like they were trying to make it a private school. Anyways, the teachers are great, really great and the year 12s are supported quite well. the fees of this school a bit expensive though. They really try to enforce strict uniform rules where they're trying too hard but if you're sneaky enough you'll get away with it. Every student's learning experience is different so its hard to say but I would judge that this school is probably above average in public schooling. So, take what you will with that.

Who cares about these comments. The person was most likely ranting about the school. Anyway the school and the facilities are okay.

Yeah it is true. Someone at Strathfield Girls did try to ruin someone's time at school all because she ate eggs and they were behaving like scumbags. To the "Bully" I know you probably will or not read and not many people know about this but I can honestly say that in the history of Strathfield Girls since the establishment of the school in 1953 that you are a notoriously badly behaved vile creature and that you deserve the 'so called deserved' punishment that you yourself got away. You may think you did a good job 'cancelling' that person but what you didn't realize is you've got a poor reputation in school. Some people know you and your shitty tactics in trying to ruin a few people's lives. In future you will not get away with the repercussions of what you did. I say in the history of Strathfield Girls in 1953, that you are a No.Bully and people deserve to know your notoriously bad image. Under that fake smile of yours, we know that you like to bully people, defame them into thinking you are right and they are wrong. If you happen to come upon this, let me tell you your life isn't gonna get any better. As for Strathfield Girls i don't have much to say. It's a public institution like all public schools. It just so happened that there are some nasty 'animals' out there who don't deserve to be in a privileged school.

Overall I think this school is aesthetically pleasing. As of current, there are no claims or none that I heard of that a teacher was inappropriately touching students according to the latest post on August 25 2020. However despite the school being alright as a public institution, I was deeply shocked to have heard claims in the Strathfield Community of a student in that school trying to defame and harass another student based on what food she ate and bullying her, calling her annoying and clueless once and 'cancelling' her. Now this is one in a few hundred chances and I heard it a few years ago but I was deeply appalled when I heard rumors that the student or a group in Strathfield Girls continued to make taunts to the other student as they previously taunted her that she 'allegedly' hated a Korean Band Member and hoped that the Band Members died. These rumors are false according to the girl. Very disappointing for the 'bully' to behave like that, to shout out 'EWWW she ate this...' behind the other student's back and make nonsensical comments. Other than this poor 'case' I think this school is great for students who are interested in a comprehensive range of activities. Also I have not heard any claims of teachers touching students so it may have only happened to one student according to the previous post. Overall my impression of Strathfield Girls is the school is located in a fairly affluent suburb.

I sometimes wonder if the reviewers are from Yr 10 transitioning into Yr 11. Look school is just school. You basically just complete the HSC and leave. So there's not much you can do to change the Principal's attitude. She's just doing her job under orders from the Department of Education and our school is Public so it would be useless if you complained. Although I have to admit, I wish the Principal and Deputies or anyone in charge of the timetables and subject selection didn't care too much about the students academia or aptitude. Why do they feel the need to not let students do the subjects they like regardless of their marks. I mean the student is not their child so they really shouldn't care about whether the student gets crap marks. If a student in the bottom ranking wanted to do Extension subjects then go for it. You only get one life so you can do whatever you want. No wonder some reviewers complain about the subject selection failures. I think that the problem with the students is they are very afraid of the school rules and the Principal. No need. Unfortunately it's their job to sound strict and authoritative but hopefully you can get away with it e.g By not going to the office when given a toilet pass or not going to the toilet at all, not talking back to the Principal or higher authorities and getting away with things discreetly. You see the more you are afraid of them, the more likely you could get in trouble or have anxiety. Personally I think single sex schools are more finnicky and over scrupulous especially girls schools. Don't know why but that's how it is.
My perspective of this school varies depending on what marks I got rather than what the Principal does so I guess worry about your education because its not easy finding a job nowadays. Also teachers are pretty decent.

Okay so I’m a student that goes to Strathfield girls high school and this is what I’ve got to say, this is my honest opinion on our school.
Firstly I would like tot say that from an outside point of view this school looks great, we have a strict uniform policy and many other strict rules as well ( many that are unnecessary).
For the most important part, our school lacks in a lot, OUR EDUCATION. Don’t get me wrong the teaches are great but I believe that the meaning focus of our school is not our education it is our reputation and uniform. I am an average student, sometimes I do well and other times I flunk exams, I have been called out of class numerous times and threatened to be sent home over wearing the wrong uniform however not once have I been called into the office for failing many classes again and again.
Every Thursday we have an assembly and during the ms lyris will address the assembly and tell us numerous stories of her past and how she failed before and she says “it is okay to fail but get up again and try harder”. This year I really tried to do good however when it came towards me choosing my subjects, she simply told me that “im not allowed to do that subject”, “she doesn’t want to set me up for failure l” and my favourite “ I might as well drop out because I’m going to fail this class so bad”. I don’t know about you but I don’t think our principal should enough us to drop out.
So I’m not quite sure what I expected from me posting this but I just hope that something changes because the system that runs our school is terrible and trust me I want to move schools but I can’t afford to buy a whole new school uniform for another school so I guess I’m stuck here.
Also can I just say if you want a leadership role of any kind whether it is being src or peer support leader and you are academically challenged then you can kiss that dream goodbye because our school chooses the same people to fill all the leadership places with people that are only in the top classes.
If I had the chance to move schools or even not come to this school from the start I would. At this point the only fun thing to do at school is see my friends at lunch and recess.

The school has both positives and negatives. It is not as bad as some are making it out to be, but is neither as good. Every student obviously has a different experience at the school. Most of this "experience" depends on the attitudes, morals and values of the individual themselves. Therefore, for those looking for an honest or reliable review, I suggest you don't look for one at all, at least on this website anyway. If you'd like to know more about the school, visit the website and arrange a meeting, or alternatively, discuss the matter with a person you know has reliable opinions relevant to you. In general though, like everyone, everything and every school in this world, this school too, has its own positive and negative aspects. The reviews on here are a mixture of bias, personal perception and are intensified by emotion, i.e frustration. Therefore, take the reviews on here (specifically the recent ones) with a nice big spoon of salt.

just dont consider this school at all. the makeup and skirt policy are debatable but it is true that some rules are out of hand. ms lyris once caught 7 girls AFTER of school at STRATHFIELD PLAZA and suspended them. i got my parents called for wearing long sleeves inside my shirt because the day was too cold to wear just the shirt but too hot to be wearing a jumper. i wasn’t even aware of this rule but ms lyris had her temper off at me. just like this, there are other rules that are very useless and uneccessary like also being sent home for having short length socks. is this reason a valid reason to give girls detention for? in what way would the length of the socks affect the school in? on that note would also like to talk about the education systems on this school and particularly teachers. many people think this school has a ‘good’ education but this result is made from the student who are motivated to learn what teachers ARE NOT teaching at school. for an example my civics teacher that i was set with at the beginning of the year is currently is not even in class so we get a substitute every single lesson. one time we walk in the classroom and a new substitute tells us that she will be writing our report ..? although just looking at that is unreasonable but we never had that teacher again after then. my english teacher literally asks the students how to spell and my chinese teacher was corrected in what she had taught by a student in my class who never had learnt chinese before. these are facts and have actually happened infront of me. there are many more unacceptable situations that i have heard from friends however i will not be mentioning them since i have not personally experienced them. the only thing i hope for this school to do is at least pay the exact amount of attention to the student’s education just as much as they do to the appearance of our school.

The way you skip over any statements like: "some people" or "not everyone does this" or "not all" means you didn't understand my review. All the you statements are directed towards people who aren't trying in their subjects. I never said that the girl isn't trying, I said some people aren't. Not only that but some people said they agree with you, the bathroom issue and the way they make assumptions about who you dress for. When did people say that you are wrong in everything that you do, they said you weren't being credible. Search it up. Also search up slut shaming, people said that if you come to a school with a code of conduct and rules, you cannot say they are unfair I'd you knew about them. I don't know whether you've ever been to school (you may have) but the statements about clowns were a figure of speech. A simile. Expressing that some people in this school wear that much makeup. I didn't say everyone who wears makeup looks like clowns. I said some. some. Search that up too. I haven't started any fights, you seem to want to start a fight especially since you used Caps. There are ways to prove your point. Regardless of whether you understand or not, try to understand the extent of what you are saying. I am not rebutting to anyone's identity but their illogical and over exaggerated ideas. Please learn the difference. Thank you.

By Student - 2019年10月30日, 评价: 较差
There are aspects of this school that are infuriating however some aren't as bad as some people reviewing are making it out to be.
First: makeup and short skirts
People who complain about this make it sound like you get suspended if you put on a tiny bit of unnoticeable makeup. That, is untrue.
There are some people who you don't even recognise because to them, makeup seems to be about replacing your features rather than enhancing them. The school is wrong to say that everyone does it for homebush boys however some still do.
Not only that, but they make it out to be about insecurity and while for some, that is true, many just wear makeup because others do. A lot of people that complain about this look like clowns. If you wanted to look like Pennywise but 100x worse, congratulations you have succeeded. No, I'm not being sarcastic.
If you say you're insecure about your body, why is it that I can see your underwear when you pull your skirt up or the outlines of your lower region when you pull your shorts up so high? Many of those girls are the ones who actually contemplate sexting so what happened to that insecurity? Do you just pull that card when it benefits you most? Please don't use a word that you don't understand.
That brings me to my next point. Why are you guys wearing skirts? Why when it's the same thing as walking to school in your undies? Yes, you can wear what you want but don't act surprised when they actually enforce the rules that they told you about when you enrolled.
You don't get detention or suspended when you do something once. These people are those who are always like this. The school is wrong to call people ugly or infer their intentions but come on, you're making this out to be much worse than it actually is.
Toilets:
Look, I understand the current issue with the toilets. The school isn't addressing the actual issue at hand and punishing everyone. You say we "own" our behaviour, why do we have to be punished for others actions? Please don't preach something you aren't going to see through to to the end. It's inconvenient and wastes time. No one is going to destroy the toilets when they have to write their name on a register.
If the school wants to catch the culprit, DREAM ON.
Fees:
I believe the school is unreasonable when it comes to fees. The programs they run are about wellbeing, but there's a limit to how "well" you are when you are broke. I don't need to pay for 5 programs that tell me the same thing. The programs that they cancel are the most useful ones and the ones they bring in are the worst.
However, with that said, please don't infer what the school is spending it on, the "evidence" you think you have is based on inferences or just observations altered by your own bias. None of it is compelling. Not only that, but by doing that, you are doing the exact same thing that you are complaining about. You don't like it when they assume you dress for guys, don't make that same mistake.
Subject selectjon:
Now this is a big one. Especially since I heard the year 10s from this year had to choose math.
First off, can I just say that the timetabling is so strange? They don't want students to do certain subjects and some end up with undesirable combinations that increase stress.
I dislike the fact that the school thinks were stupid. If you're not going to let girls do 13 units, please say so rather than "its not going to fit on the timetable". Of course it isn't going to fit, as we only have school for 3 hours a day, while other schools have 6. We live in an entirely different time zone, of course I forgot. If that's really what the school wants to do, please have more/better one unit subjects. Not all of us like art of SOR, doing a subject that we don't like or can do well is more stressing than doing 13 units.
Next, not being allowed to do certain subjects. This one is going to be the most controversial of what I'm going to say about subject selection. I don't like the fact that some kids who never cared about school, don't study and get the worst marks wish to get into certain subjects.
Think two scenarios:
A student whose marks don't reach the standard needed but they try hard, do their homework and are realistic to a certain extent. If they really wished to do a subject, their marks aren't great, but their dedication is.
It makes sense doesn't it? Because hard work can outdo talent because many gifted people just slack off.
Long story short, after minimum negotiations, the school gives the student a chance. Why? Because they try. And the school will look terrible turning down someone who genuinely likes and cares about something. Hard work comes first, marks later.
Second scenario:
A student whose marks are similar to the first and it doesn't allow them to get into a subject that they wish. They never do their homework, study for their exams, spend class time on their phone, fight with teachers and other students and the list goes on. Certain people would come to your head after reading this right? I don't blame you. Why?
Because chances are, (and this happens so often), they are the people who are sulking because they were turned down from a subject. Say WHATEVER you wish, but you can't expect a student who's gained a habit of not studying and have a lack of self discipline to suddenly start working hard. They have no hard work, (they might've had talent, they were just too lazy to try and find it).
The school shouldn't be calling students dumb, because everyone has something they're good at. But to fit in the mould of "coolness" you've forfeited any hobbies, maybe previous friends, and talents. So are you proud of yourself? The only thing you can do now is complain and regret.
Subject selection isn't as bad as you make it out to be, it is bad, but you had a chance and you threw it out of the window. I feel sorry for those who actually had issues with timetabling or something they wanted to run didn't. Not lazy people. I apologize, but it's true. You aren't dumb, you're probably more intelligent that I am, but I try hard. Your pride got in the way of studying and for many people, (not all) all that remains in their heads are drugs, alcohol and sex. Good luck and I hope this coolness dream or whatever you call it gets you into your first choice uni or the job your want.
Some people don't deserve to get into subjects, what the school says about dragging the school down isn't wrong. It's wrong to say certain people are dumb, because neither them nor I know that. What I do know is that it's unfair for a student to work so hard but the schools rank being affected by lazy people who could've done well.
If you didn't get into the subjects you wanted because of the above reasons, don't despair because that's worse. Don't give yourself excuses either. Try doing well with what you have and turn things around. Not all professions have prerequisites. If they do, do a bridging course. The category B subjects aren't bad, you can get a job to support yourself while you study. Sure you were lazy before, I was too to a certain extent.
This isn't a review anymore. But I wanted to clear all this up. Because so many people are sounding like whiny 3 year olds when they had the power to do something about their attitude to learning. Because regardless or whether you're Einstein or not, you can do something about how hard you try.
Especially going forward in year 11 and 12, if you are a student and reading this, no.matter how bad the school is, unless you're going to change schools you have to persevere and keep going. Not everything going to go your way. Just be happy we have good teachers who support the students. And while you compete with your grade, you all want to do well together.
This school isn't great, but all you need to do (easier said that done), but play the HSC game according to their rules, but play strategically. Every single rule can be manipulated to benefit you, you just have to learn how.

I am a student at Strathfield girls high and I think that the school is excellent. I love how the teachers treat everybody the same and I also love the environment the teachers and staff provide. if I had to say one thing it would have been to provide more homework for us and to meet the year 8 standard but overall, great school!

Though the principal tries her best, many of the rules are unaccommodating, and unreasonable. I think the students would benefit from a more relaxed environment where things are not so strict. For example, year 12 students are not even allowed to go to the toilet without asking, and if they do ask they are asked 'Why?" or are given to minutes to go.

I'm currently in the stage where many students in our grade are selecting their senior subjects. If you're academically adapted, you'll do fine. If you are part of the lower classes and want to pick advanced subjects (science, maths etc), you're going to be asked to pick non-ATAR subjects so you "won't drag the school ranking down". If you want to do light ATAR subjects (drama, pe, history etc), well good luck in getting what you want because the principal will either ask you to change it or because of its lower demand, it'll be more likely to have it clashing with other subjects in the timetable system. This is, I quote, "an academic school".
You must only do 12 units for yr11, no more no less. Other schools can do more 13 or more (frustrates a lot of people in my grade)
Must do one extension to do another one unit subject. They don't tell you this until the subject selection interview so you're put in a tight spot to quickly pick something else.
Top classes, not the greatest. Year 8, can't pick the language you want to do. Maths (yr9,10), slowest progression through topics (compared to other classes) so we're either splitting the current topics into the test you have next week & the test 10 weeks from now or the teacher just gives you last minute material (which affects other classes). Had bad luck in getting a poor student teacher before exam period. Also, there is required extra-curriculars you have to pay for so save you're wallets.
For people planning on picking Commerce for yr9/10. Pick it if you enjoyed/good at Geography in year 7/8 or if you enjoy learning about the structure of society (business/law). A lot of people pick this because "it's important for the future" but don't even pick anything relating to Commerce for yr11/12. Pick the things you enjoy in yr9/10 and get serious in yr11/12.
IST: We only have one teacher. School needs more IT teachers.
We also have a confusing online h/w (word flyers and maths onlines) that don't really teach you much but you have to do them or you'll get detention. People just click randomly and redo it, knowing the correct answers from taking a video of the work being corrected to meet the completion requirement or use softwares that tell you the answer when you scan it.
Overall, okay for the academically adapted, not as great for the hands-on people.

I’m an ex student from the school, and during my time the teachers were amazing. The students were very studious and hardworking. My most memorable experiences are from the days I was at Strathfield girls. Ms Lyris came to our school in 2008, and she seemed like an exciting principal empathetic to the needs of students and teachers. She started her position enthusiasticly and passionately. She upgraded many buildings in the school, and used the school budget wisely. However through out the years, it was obvious that this passion embodied her everyday life, as she seemed OCD about every small thing that didn’t look ‘right’. She made sure that a chunk of year 7 students that entered the school would buy the ‘right’ bag and wear the ‘right’ uniform. At one stage it became compulsory to wear the school hat and bag- something that seems absurd for a public school to enforce. In person she is a really lovely person, but her style of ‘ruling’ a school is similar to a dictator ‘ruling’ a nation. She needs to chill abit, and take a few steps back, because I honestly don’t believe these girls are prone to misbehaving 24/7. She needs to loosen up. Who knows, maybe she is related to Giorgios Papadopoulos... her actions are very similar to his at this stage of time...

It actually really does not matter whether the school has a good reputation. In fact its probably a good thing that the school has a name. Short skirts may look nice but do you really expect to see a fat girl wearing a short skirt and you see her panties. What bad taste. I'm ashamed that a person mentions that we girls conform to sluttery. That's misogyny.

This school is the worst piece of shit ever. Lyris u really need to get some help. Stop trying to become meridan. Accept and get over it. You aren’t a private school. Stop charging girls so much. There’s only about 2 Teachers in each facilty that are actually good. She doesn’t care about ur education although she may say she does, she only cares about how she looks and the damn uniform. Also as soon as girls step outside the school, their skirt goes higher and homebush boys are rlly loving it. If you want to send your child there, dont because u are possibly making the worst decision ever.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE
I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND INVESTING IN YOUR CHILDS EDUCATION THROUGH A PRIVATE SCHOOL They not only allow for growth academically but through physical development AND teaches students manners
The principal in this school is absolutely disgusting. Expelling children for uniform (which is illegal under NSW law) to treating parents with disrespect. Please stop wearing black and white. Honestly I don't even want to go there. Trying to make your school look like Meriden is not gonna work honey from the hats to even the school diary...
The girls : Drugs, Alcohol and Sex. That is all ur child will care about once she meets the wrong people. The gifted and talented program is absolute bullshit only causing immense pressure on students and even bullying from other students saying they're nerds
The uniform: Just stop lyris. These girls were born to conform to slutterry. knee-length skirts aren't gonna work. Love how the skirts grow shorter after school ends ;) HBHS is loving it girls keep it up
All jokes aside though, what is wrong with the uniform, expensive and ugly
BASICALLY IF YOUR CHILD DID NOT GET INTO SELECTIVE pls do not send ur child here ... the poor girl if you do

A school that is as good as any other mediocre school with mediocre P and VP. The quality of education really relies on the students. Excellent teachers (mostly). However the supporting staff at the front office are generally unwelcoming and can certainly benefit from additional training sessions.

This school has a fake reputation, the principle is rude to the students behind parents backs whilst faking to the parents that this school is very good, very focused on education ( when actually the colour of your hair, and uniform is all they care about ).
The school double charges things and names them something irrelevant to overcharge students yet still can't afford air conditioning for any of the classrooms... where does all they money they are earning going towards?
Overall, this is a poor choice of a school and your children will soon realise if you enrol them to this school.

Someone stole my hat FROM MY LOCKER may I add and the principal is saying it's my fault and I will just have to buy a new $55 hat which is the exact same hat as meriden down to the ribbon stripes (only a different emblem). Stupid school, stupid principal but good teachers. (Science teachers are best, they are nice) Other than that the school fees are crazy. We are a government school and yet the crazy principal makes us spend money on vuluntary fees and we have to schedule a meeting to remove it from our fees but she is "never available" which is such bs. We can't have our hair dyed even a natural colour or cut anyway we like even though its a public school.

Big fan of the school but like others below, not a big fan of the principal Ms Lyris. As others have said below the school fees are a rip off. I simply don't pay, the school operates a sizeable surplus (check their financial report) hardly a struggling school. Try sending the principal an email if she is unavailable and wait for a reply LOL. If you don't get the joke, then you haven't tried emailing her about anything.

Lyris consistently threatens students during assemblies. "If you _(Insert some garbage reason)___, I Will have you expelled." She gives speeches that last a good 4 days, constantly spewing crap like "its a brave new world" "you're all diamonds in the sky" "if you can dream it, you can do it." Don't even get me started on the SCHOOL FEES. She always reiterates the fact that we don't have to pay for the extra voluntary stuff (like P and C contribution) and that we can avoid doing so by telling the office we don't want to pay for it- when you actually do this, the moronic idiots at the office say some garbage like,"sorry, you have to discuss this with Ms Lyris" thus making it incredibly difficult for parents to get in touch with the woman since she's always "unavailable"- what I'm trying to say is: psychotic Lyris does every thing in her power to make it extremely difficult for parents who do not want to pay for things that are supposed to be voluntary.
Lyris, if you are reading this: SGHS is NOT a private school, it is a government school. SGHS is NOT your school, it is the students'. You are simply someone that is employed to run it. Perhaps with this in mind, you should redirect some of your energy towards the welfare of students, instead of obsessing over the sock colours, skirt length or the hair accessories of your students.
On a brighter note, I still recommend this school to others, because the TEACHERS ARE BEYOND AMAZING; I'll even go as far to say that some of the teachers at SGHS are some of the best in the state.
Mind you, a lot of the teachers can't stand Lyris either- Its quite obvious ahahha.
The environment is generally quite lovely too. :)

The school takes a lot of money. At first yr 7 students weren't allowed to use strap bags, and now they have to pay another $80 for a strap bag. They also do lots of fund- raising and ask money for almost all excursion/ incursion after paying so much school fees. Apart from the school taking too much money, the environment, teachers and studies are good. The school uniform is good but the sports uniform is quiet ugly.

It's not just students that have a hard time with Ms Lyris. My experience is that she does not listen to or respect parents either. Apart from my dislike of the Principal the school has always had a great reputation and seems to provide a decent education. If you prefer co-ed, I'd go to Concord. If you find the school "fees" to expensive don't pay, remember that they are mostly "voluntary contributions" and they can't make you pay.

Although the principal said that the student's future is the most important. But she did not take the students seriously. She often rudely interrupted the students to speak and let the students listen to her, but she never seriously listen to the words of the students.

The school's learning environment is acceptable, education resources and teachers are all good. But the headmaster of 2016 was grumpy and did not accept any student advice and advice. The school often has serious mistakes for the student's information management, but the principal always not shifts responsibility.

LOVING THE SCHOOL!! Not only is the uniform great but so is the school environment and the teachers. The teachers always try their best to help us, students, to reach our goals and also help us with our education.

If you are going to graduate in 2020 and you were at school on the first day of 2017, then you have heard the "real" stories Ms Lyris has told us.
1. A doctor had the knowledge of Ms Lyris being a worker of SGHS and said, "I think their school uniforms look amazing but I do not like the way they wear the PE uniforms"
PROBLEM: People in this world have enough respect for people who work in certain organisations to not say anything negative about that particular organisation.
2. A girl went to Ms Lyris and told her,"Help, my boyfriend has a naked picture of me!"
PROBLEM: No one in this world would tell a principal about such personal issues unless the principal is a relative or a close friend.

I LOVE STRATHFIELD GIRLS. I don't understand why the majority of the girls hate Ms. Lyris. She's a great principle. Girls, firstly, don't give excuses and blame the others before looking at the mirror and reflect on yourself, on your attitude and on whatever you're doing. Only you know what you are doing whether it is not listening to the teacher and badmouthing about them or whatever excuses you are giving. I hope you girls will be changing your perspectives about the school because I want you to understand why I love Strathfield High :) Good luck with your studies, girls xx.

Good variety of subjects and curricular activities. Decent/friendly students and teachers. OK with bowler hats, no biggie as we wore hats in primary school and I get sun protection.

No freedom for children to grow and learn, children are stifled and forced into subjects clearly due to failure by teachers to actually teach!! One or two students you can say it is the students fault but when a whole grade is forced to have interviews and have their subjects selected for them, there is clearly something wrong with the teaching system at the school!!

I am a year 12 graduate of 2015 and the past years in sghs were very pleasant. The teachers are lovely and friendly. Although I didn't quit get along with my class mates, I truly did feel valued by my teachers. Ms Lyris is an excellent principal who wants the best for her school and its students. Students may not understand this but everything she does, including the new uniforms are for the better. Also in the past year the school has been renovated and is now looking of a very high standard. I'm proud to say that I'm a sghs graduate

ms lyris if u see this i have a message for you
Quit your job. Alot of students know that the school is not bad, it is the principal that is bad which reflect on the students' opinions at this school. First you make blazers compulsory which are cold and heavy. Now you hand out bowler hats. Please offer us a choice to wear caps or no hats because many students here do not give a crap if they look formal to the public. You make do us do a lot of fundraising for charity (this is a school, not a charity) and make us go to compulsory night events which is pissing off my mum. I am going to be broke by year 12.

We are getting bowler hats because the principal likes them. What bad taste ugh. Also, the school only cares about showing how much progress we're making. We're suppose to be showcasing talent. I feel bad for the teachers who are stuck with this school sometimes...

I am a student here and I must say that the staff room and the teachers are not very good at doing their job. Although some teachers are fantastic at teaching, this school really needs some help. Also some students are not very good either. You say this school is bad but what about your attitude? Vandalising school property, writing shit words in the toilet blaming it all on the principal when you should face the consequence. Maybe it's actually you that's pulling the school down. You should think about it. Also I rate this school 2 out of 5.

How does this school make a good but fake reputation?
By Student - 2015年10月13日, 评价: 很差
The people there are tolerable but some are just total brats. Don't even get me started on the principal. I know she cares about the school (not the kids, just cares about how politicians, other schools and people of authority view it). If you visit the school it may seem nice, but the second you leave, its true true colours are revealed. And the girls are so desperate. Don't get me wrong, the environment is in fact good and the teaching staff are fabulous!!

THIS SCHOOL IS STUPID I'M ONLY IN YR 7 AND SERIOUSLY THIS IS MY IMPRESSION?! WE CAN'T LEAVE BLAZERS IN DRY CLEANING IF U HAVE SPILLED STUFF ON IT WITHOUT GETTING ATTENTION!!! THE CLOTHES ARE ALSO REALLY UNCOMFORTABLE AND OVERPRICED!!! OUR TECH CLASSES TEACHES USELESS STUFF LIKE MAKING JEWELLERY.

This school is not bad but I'm not sure if I really like it. I mean uniform is compulsory but too expensive. Also there is not much rooms for wet weather. Prices are costly.

Seriously? what do we even learn at this school? teachers should just try and explain!
By Parent - 2015年06月02日, 评价: 一般
They only care about their presentation and nothing about our children education.
To be honest i think its really rude that my children has to sit in the classrooms cold and freezing when i give so much money to the school. I mean what do you do with all our money? You spend it on bags and food?
1 other things to say why do i have to spend soo much money on the school uniforms when its not even warm? i agree with the fact that the quality is good but its not even warm wearing it, wind just goes through it and our children would catch a cold.
I know i sent my kids to this school but i wasn't aware of the conditions and my kids seem to like this school because of her friends so right now i have to deal with my kids going through hewll
