If you want child bullied with no consequences then send them here,the principals statments about bullying policies are a farce

I have been very impressed with Scoresby Secondary College. I ignored the comments of the overwhelming criticism of this when we made the choice to enrol following tours and going to Open Days. I cannot speak highly enough about how my children have been educated and cared for. With one child in year 8 and one in year 11, I can honestly that my children are being well educated and have had supports when required. The Principal genuinely cares for students and is passionate about the students and their futures. Even though there have been a few times I have not agreed with a decision, I have understood the reasons.

Worst school in the eastern suburbs if bullying and apathy are educational tools this is the school for you,the principal should sacked and pensioned off

Staff show lack of empathy which stems from the principal who cares more about looks than education she promised the world and delivers nothing unless your child is a robot who sits drops and stays on command I would not even contemplate sending my child there even if it was the last school anywhere . Which probably is shown in how much the student numbers are dropping year by year students don't leave good schools!!!! If bullying threats and the blame game impress you this the school for you

I am a student at SSC and, unfortunately, will be until I graduate. Scoresby Secondary College is one of those schools that appear great but is the complete and utter opposite.
A lot of the school's staff are utterly appalling, what with majority not even knowing basic manners or how to teach a class. Not only that, a lot of staff will literally isolate you from others for wrong socks, a dress slightly too short, or a piece of jewelry which isn't a plain stud. Only recently has the school gotten better staff, of which I commend for managing to make Scoresby bearable.
I say this with all honesty; the principal does not care for any of the students, especially those struggling with issues. The only care she has is to appear as a private school 'of choice'. But are we not in debt? Where the school's funding goes is a joke and only for the school to appear better. Scoresby doesn't even have a canteen, but we can afford a million dollar renovation of the junior school courtyard. Schools are supposed to focus on supporting and connecting with students, and to help them learn. But 98% of said students are suffering in silence- not even. A lot of students who simply do not understand the lessons are ridiculed by teachers and 'block supported', which is ludicrous and does nothing but destroy the respect of their students. This is barely scratching the surface.
Obviously, the school has some pros. The principal's longing need to be a public-private school has brought in some amazing opportunities and connections for students. Most students, once graduated, go on to do really well for themselves. The students are mostly welcoming, too, and are nicer than a lot of the staff, which is saying something.
To the principal. Be better. For the sake of your school which must be your pride and joy, be better. Become to actual school of choice, not a wannabe depressing private school.

I attended Scoresby secondary for almost 4 years, first off I would say this school is like cheap jewelry looks nice from afar but once you get in it is a cesspit, A couple of the teachers I knew were homophobic, along with the one incident where I was kicked off of Central Australia I camp due to mental health issues and bathroom issues because the principal didn’t feel as though the other students would be comfortable sharing with a transgender girl, The bullying and abuse that got overlooked because of my situation was sickening, please be careful, Also the fact that the principal took away the canteen and fired the ladies was just a dick move as they used to be freshly cooked food at lunch too and many more activities

First i would like to state that I have been working at this school for 7 years. Teaching a wide range of subjects, the students here in my opinion is more welcoming than the staff and principal

I am a student at SSC,
I am appalled at my schools behaviour this yeah so far, we have a principal that only cares about the presentation of their students and their grade and being “the college of choice”. Our principal does not care about our mental health and things grades are more important, pulling more kids up about pericings and hair colour than bully’s. bully’s get away with far too much at this school. We were told at assembly one day that it’s flu season. And that if we had the flu we needed to notify the office (which is fine) then we were told “but that doesn’t mean you stay at home) I’m sorry. But you’ve obviously never had the flu. When you have the flu you can HARDLY GET OUT OF BED. And you run the risk of getting others sick. They have this thing called isolation, where if you are pulled up for piercings, hair colour etc, then you are to sit in the office and have seperate recesses and lunches to everybody else and not attend classes. Sound like the “college of choice” now?

This is a very poor school. Facilities are ancient and teachers do nothing to prevent students from disrupting the people who want to learn. Many teachers appear to know very little about the subjects they teach, which results in them losing the respect and confidence of their students.
