as a teacher here i am very sick of it. I am not scarfed but they force me to wear it or else... the kids r not the problem the rules are i was working there for about 3 years and its a literal hell hole dont work there

Biggest mistake of my life taking my child here. after the first term I wanted to take my child out due to the disgusting teachers and just everything, and they still kept the seven thousands dollars I paid.
Please don't enrol your child here before it's too late.

I am a new student in this school and I can assure you that this place is nothing but lies. They make you purchase Macbooks for 1,500 dollars yet teachers come up to us and take them away or tell us not to use them. What is the point of purchasing a Macbook that is expensive as yet we don't use them? The school also cares more about your uniform than education like are we here to learn or here to get told to pin our scarfs or wear a blazer properly? They care too much about our looks than our education and this is becoming a serious problem as the school is starting to have more harsher repercussions/consequences. I envision that the school has to start changing its rules and how it is meant to function as a perstigious institution that is only meant to produce only the smartest of minds and enrich the students into smart, young leaders of the future.

As a student of ilim college a massive problem is that we were forced to buy our study materials then after all purchases the school tells us we need to purchase a MacBook ($2k) and if we didn't purchase it then we weren't allowed to enter the grade. This caused a lot of problems financially and waste.

Horrible school, I’m a student here and cannot wait to leave this school. As student of ilim I can declare that this school is ass . I am grateful we are able to pray in a mosque and able to wear a modest attire.Although these advantages end with that note. Students are in way to much pressure by both teachers and the extreme work load. Students aren’t properly educated with teachers that don’t even try to understand your problems.Appart from all of the pressure, it is rare that we have a decent teacher that can both teach us and respect that we are just teenagers trying to figure ourselves out. They would blame us without even hearing the full story and always be on the teachers side. Our uniform which is very expensive and the material is very cheap is more important than our education and well being. We get so many negative points for the smallest stuff, short socks negative points, why because it isn’t modest but you will see teachers with their whole ankles showing. It can be negative degrees and we will get our jackets taken off for a tiny Nike logo. It will be 40 degrees and we can’t unpin our scarves our else we get sent home.if you want your kids to have a proper education and stable mental health do not send you kid to this hell whole.

I'm a student at this school which i never wanted to be at this school. I have been here since prep, they give too much projects and tests at the same time, get in trouble for the smallest things, I had a friend the teacher was gonna call his parents for having a chewy in his mouth, I do not recommend you coming to this school.

These comments are so extra about uniform its not that deep. Its a private school what do you expect? if youre attending a private school then of course they are gonna be strict on the uniform and that goes for any private school. You're all used to the ghetto so this is a massive deal for yous, relax a bit they dont care more about it than education.

if youre thinking about going to Ilim dont go. The school system is so bad it blows my mind. They dont let you do what you want in year 11&12 because it depends on the grades you get. You have to get 70% in english to do any subject you want, This is unbelievable. How does Ilim get to decide my own education? Many students don't educationally rise until year 10 or 11 and even if they dont we should get to choose what subjects we want if we fail or not. its my education and they are choosing it for the students. This school cares more about atar than the students needs and rights and they act like they have a right to tell you which subjects you can and cant do when the atar scores are s***. They try so hard to make it out as a 'private' school but when I walked in I thought I entered a farm, the lockers are made of plastic and that should say enough about how bad the facilities are. The communication is terrible and theyre stuck in the 1900's. You have to do everything through letters and parents are barely/not apart of the students education because the school doesn't inform the parents anything that is going on within their education. Worst decision i've ever made in my life. If you want your child to have a good education then this is the last place you want to send them.

First of all, I wish I could just leave this "school" not only do they care ONLY about uniform and their reputation, but the rules are so strict that every little thing u do, you get negative points. You come to class late becuase u didn't hear the bell, negative points. You speak in another language to someone, negative points. You forget to bring your blazer that you BARELY wear throughout the whole year and it doesn't even keep you warm in the winter, NEGATIVE POINTS.and if you wear a hoodie underneath becuase it's freezing, negative points. If you show one cm of your ankle, negative points. Honestly, I can write a whole essay about why this school is not worth attending. They give way too many projects and homework at the same time, and to make it worse, they add tests all in the same week or day. When teachers are absent and substitute teachers take the class, the teacher has trouble calming the loud class (gives me headaches) and we barely get any work done. Also some of the teachers are so disrespectful just becuase they have the role of a "teacher". My maths teacher yelled at me for asking her to help me with an equation and not knowing how to do it becuase she goes too fast with the teaching and I can't catch up. What's the point in being a teacher if you can't help a student with a question? I asked her to slow down but she said I'll be weighing the class down if she does. Where are you hiring these teachers from, ilim? Besides that, some of the teachers are kind and respectful. Another thing,the primary students are so disrespectful, as a kid had his phone out blasting innapropiate music and swearing at other students. Speaking of primary students, my younger cousins get bullied by other kids and teachers say theyll do something about it when they dont do anything about it! Such a religious and prestigious school, am I right ilim college? I have way more complaints but I've wasted enough of my time on this website.

Absolutely horrific. Wish I could go back to my old school. Here a few reasons why.
1. They care more about the uniform and attire of their students rather than the knowledge they’re actually teaching them. Corrupt teachers will give your parents a phone call if you don’t have a blazer on photo day. Who am I kidding? We all know why that is. It’s because EVERYONE will see those photos. Need to look the best to keep your reputation high and positive, hm Ilim College?
2. Bullying and disrespectful students are everywhere. They aren’t even properly disciplined. The teachers just do a simple “Oh stop that please” or “Don’t do it again” instead of taking care of the situation. Sometimes bullying even gets psychical. I saw a girl get her food thrown away and pushed around. Verbal bullying is even worse though. Bullies will say something bad about you in a language you don’t speak. However, one time somebody did this while speaking in my second language. I was disgusted about what they said about me.
3. Dirty classrooms. Classrooms should be clean and well sanitized. Not old and smelly. We need a comfortable workspace to work with if we wanna learn. But it all doesn’t matter, since all we learn in classrooms is LITERALLY NOTHING!
I’m starting to question if this school is possibly illegal with the students and staffs behaviour. Highly disappointed and planning to move back to my old school which is cheaper and has better students. Whatever you do, don’t push your child into a deep, deep, possession and traumatising experience. Send them somewhere else where they will be taken good care of properly.

worst school in the world. i got in trouble and got a detention because i refereed to someone who's Pakistani an Indian. i'm not wrong though, they all come from India. and today i got suspended for accidentally hitting a soap dispenser. soap wasn't coming out so i lightly touched it and the lid came of. i tried putting it on but it didn't fit so i put it next to it. i hate this school with all my heart. this is the worst school in the world. it's equivalent to juvie and detention camps. plz don't send your kids here.

I am a student that attends this school. The school focus on uniform more than education . They try to make the school look good rather than actually be good . The school neglect students opinions and issuses. Some complaints were made to exchange teachers but the school said they are unable to do that because it would cost them $1000 to change the timetable but at the same time the school is planning to make a giant clock tower that could cost up to $10k . The school has its priorities wrong and is failing its students .

This school is the best and I’ve been to 3 other schools. The teachers may be strict but they do it for our education and about being bullied the teachers take serious action on this and only some of the students are bad behaved , most of them of them are excellently behaved

Get bullied left, right and centre in the boys Dallas campus. Teachers EVEN sometimes bully me. It happens to many! Please, I get hit during lunch and the teacher on yard duty just tells the bully to not do it again. Even in class! I get verbally and physically bullied and get emotional when I get home. The class teacher does not even see anything that took place! I have failed in maths, did pretty well in English but my maths teachers don’t know how to teach to full standard. Bullying is the schools weakness, please Ilim Pease! Expell all bullies (which they never do) so we can make Ilim College Great Again.

Most time I go to school early and waiting my daughter in front of my daughtes classroom. Last year Math's teacher was trying to explain the lesson but the girls were screaming a lot and they refused to listen him. I asked my daughter what happen in your class. She said girls always like that they don't listen teacher properly and they got lower marks. Then they blame and complain their teacher to their parent.

My kids have been here since prep and I and both my children love it. I have been supported when I have raised some concerns and found the staff were always willing to help. I am quite surprised at some comments here about gender equality. My daughter attended swimming lessons in year 7 and has been on a camp and sleep over this year in year 9. I encourage my daughter to be part of the sports activities but she has no interest so I cant blame the school as I know they offer soccer, basketball and table tennis. The staff call me to keep me in the loop and I feel they have become tougher with uniform and discipline this year. They are big on parent involvement and have sessions for parents but I havent been to all. Overall I would recommend anyone serious on instilling Islamic values as part of their childrens lives and education.

Ilim college is nothing but a business. Majority of the positive reviews that can be seen are written by their prejudiced,uneducated, shitty teachers. I was a student at that "school" and I was treated unfairly just because I wasn't Turkish. The teachers gossip just as much as the students do about kids who don't deserve to be slandered. Just look at some of the reveiws that are posted by students on this site. Their sentences are not properly articulated and hardly make any sense, it's not the students fault though, their "teacher" a.k.a (mother,auntie or uncle) probably told them to write it. Don't send your kids to ilim college unless you want your child to be robbed of their education, happiness and wellbeing.

Horrible school, will never recommend to anyone. Teachers go on power fits keeping you in after school for not praying the non compulsory sunnah prayer. After school goes until 4:30 were they force you to write useless things. Spending millions to seperate male and female students completely. It's Islamic this shouldn't be done proving they can't even withhold their own morales and principles. You can't even speak in another language without getting in trouble. Very depressing school canteen food is expensive. Phones get stolen from lockers they blame you because it's your own fault but if you keep the phone in your pocket they take it from you and not give it back until after school get caught again they'll keep it over weekends. Tons of students leaving. Certain teachers will have a smirk as they keep you in with there coffee in their hand on their phone withholding us from lunch

I am gob smacked about the comment about girls not attending excursions or camps. What an utter lie. Not only has my daughter attended excursions, she went to camp and also loved versing other schools in fun friendly competitive sport. She loves her PE classes and plays soccer during most lunchtimes. She is always encouraged to participate. She loves how teachers get involved and play basketball or soccer with the students during recess and lunch also. We are very pleased with the passion and compassion of her teachers.

My little one is in prep this year and we are so blessed that she started Ilim College. We will forever be grateful to the wonderful teachers. My daughter is very happy and so are we. the school is quite good and it helps me in understanding things that i did not know and it teaches girls that they have the right to do anything they want and the girls and boys classes are separated from year 6 and from year 7 the boys go to another campus thats only about a 2-5 minute drive from the school.

I am a student at this school and I really wish I wasn't. The school had let me down with my education and fail to do anything about it. This year especially I have fallen behind in maths which is a major subject due to having a teacher who can't even speak english. As a girl I am frequently disadvantaged, the school doesn't believe girls should do sports or go compete with other schools in anything. The school organises inter school sports, camps, excursions and incursions for the boys but the girls are never included. The teachers always say come and talk to us and tell us your opinions but they get overlooked because they have no value at this school.

Being in the field of education myself I can confidently state that Ilim College is an excellent school. No school can offer perfection but at Ilim the Principal endeavours to instil in the students their worth and value. I have one child who graduated achieving an atar in the high 80,s who is following his dream in engineering another who is completing year 12 this year.

This school is nothing but a scam, they do not care about the education, welfare and future of our children, the are just in the business to build wealth for themselves so don't be fooled by what they offer. They chose the kids they want to succeed and cheat their way to the school ranking. I can write pages on why this school is no good but i am going to sum it up as they are corrupt. They might have a good reputation in achieving high university entries by cheating, but let me tell you most of them drop out of Uni after the first year.
