Still have a lot of inexperienced teachers that can't control the kids. Leadership sweep issues under the carpet, and bullying is rife. If you are thinking that you will have a better bunch of kids here forget it. So many if them are spoilt brats with worse attitude than gov. Schools. Save your money, as fees are way too high and education quality and social experience us so bad for your kids

some teachers are wonderful and i'm so glad that they work there because they really helped me, but there are some teachers which don't do anything except sit there and talk about video games.
The care team overreacts and makes shit up. Want to be in Timae because Mr Timms is said to be the best but Resta is fine.

I have been at this school since kindergarten, and have always loved it. All students are treated equally, and all of the staff have great support for their students. I’m going to say that the reason that so many other comments had so many grammatical mistakes is that they didn’t go to this school. I could not rate this school highly enough. I absolutely love it. The Music department is the best, and all of the teachers love their students. This school loves to make learning fun, so much so that there is a meme board in the music suite! {Inside jokes, and jokes related to music} Every one of the staff love their students and each other so much. If you get something wrong, they will come to you, and kindly explain what it is you got wrong, what you should have done, and how to do it, all to make sure that you don’t miss out on any education.There are a variety of different excursions, camps, and service learning experiences, and they are so fun. There are house cadets in the ELC {Early learning centre}, and everyone gets a turn at leadership. In the primary school there are primary house captains, and there are 6 captains each semester, 2 for each house. There is a new group of captains in semester 2, just to get everyone to know if they enjoy leadership. In high school, there are senior house captains, and there are 6 for the year, as people will by now know if they want to lead. Being house captain is so fun, and it is a great experience to have. The staff are so good, that a lot of students that graduated in the 90’s are still in contact with the teachers that they had. Everyone is welcoming, and all of the staff welcomes you. As with every school, there are a few bad students, but they have their own friend group, and you don’t need to get involved with them. Whenever a staff member {or student, for that matter} has an announcement to make, the school celebrates, and makes sure that they know that they are still loved. Whenever a staff member leaves, the school wishes them the best in their new career, and there are always some that loves the member so much that they cry when they hear that they left. In summary, you could not send your child to a better school. 11 out of 10 review. Love this school so much. BEST. SCHOOL. EVER. Despite this though, as said before, some teachers do need to calm down a bit, but you get that with all schools. Overall, great school!

This has been a wonderful school for my 3 children. They have enjoyed being part of a caring environment in primary school which then carried through to the high school which made them resilient, confident and happy teens. There are extension classes for those who are academically gifted. Doing WACE subjects is not pushed with different pathways offered. The music dept is strong and we have loved been part of the school community.

There is a reason that enrolments at this school have dropped from more than 2600 students to just over 2100.
My child suffered terrible treatment at this school, the school put our family through a year of hell before we removed him and put him into a local state school and guess what, he didn't need "a little bit of medication" as was outrageously suggested by the deputy head, neither did he need the expensive occupational therapy and speech therapy which is mercilessly pushed on families who don't require it - he just needed a teacher who could actually do their job - he is now a happy, thriving little boy who loves school.
Do yourself a favour and give this school a wide berth, they are interested only in money - your child is just a commodity to them. The ethos of the school is rotten from the top down, there is not a true Christian among them.

This school is a welcoming community with great faclities. Uniforms need to be more pratical as blazers are not the best source for warmth. Teachers are great but some need to take a chill pill.

This school doesn't cater for its students needs full stop. The Teachers take favourites in their classes, disregard bullying and speak to the students with the uttermost disrespect. I will say I was very impressed with the maths departments professionalism and support to the students, unfortunately the the other departments are lacking ability, effort and desire. Aside from the WACE and ATAR assessments, marking is conducted in a bias and unfair manner in which it was often uncovered that staff had contradicted what they had previously outlined in class time. In all honesty, save your money and take your children somewhere where they will actually show interest in your child.

My daughter commenced in year 5 withe the intention of completing high school but the standard of teachers was so poor and the school is just so commercial in its pursuit of money that I withdrew my child and sent her to a selective school where she has thrived. Don't waste your money at this school, it is not cheap and definitely not value for money.

Regarding St Stephen's Carramar campus, I believe that this school promotes core values and rarely fails in embodying them to set as role models towards the student body. This school is undoubtedly worth attending, with mostly understanding teachers, great facilities and pride in success. However, it often can alienate students with their (perceived) love for prestige - with faculty more engaged in skirt lengths and nail polish than students' queries and problems. I could weigh the pros and cons until the cows come home, but I'd say the school is very worthwhile if you want a well-rounded education and a sense of community to be available to your fingertips. It is, in my experience, not a problem school - but rather, a school with a few problems. Although, it is hard when the house you are placed in feels more like a house and less like a home.

So proud to say I attended St Stephens School.
St Stephens provided me with so much extra support throughout my high schooling which really helped.
All the teachers where fantastic.
If your looking for a school that's going to care for your children, send them to St Stephens!

I so agree with the previous comment. Since the current school principal came in the school has totally turned to bad. New teachers were so inexperienced and students totally lost interest. As parents we tried to speak to a number of teachers but it was just a waste of time. If you are thinking of sending your children to this school don't waste your money. The school was rated in top 20 prior to 2010. Since Tony George joined the school the school moved to #77. He is leaving now but kids who went to this school missed the so many opportunities when compared to other schools in the area.

I've had my children at this school since pre-primary. I was so happy with the school and sung its praises for years. The last few years since the new headmaster arrived the school has gone down hill rapidly and I have seriously considered pulling my children out of the school as so many parents already have. We recently got the good news that the headmaster is leaving next year and I am hoping the school can then fight back to its former glory.

Disgusted at this school. Treated my child terribly, ignored my concerns and they waste money on buildings. This school has completely lost its way. School is about education NOT relationships. Teachers are no better (the one's my teacher had were shockingly bad) than the public system. Save your money, go public. All the public schools in Duncraig are far better!

Oh and don't let me get started on the gifts that these particular parents give to the teachers. A great way to buy their child an award on awards night. Seems to work too. All should try it.

Unfortunately their are a few parents that think it is their right to have a parent teacher meeting every morning with their child's class teacher and the french teacher and the gifted and talented teacher and any other teacher that they can annoy and the school does absolutely nothing about these problem parents which take valuable teaching time away from the rest of the class.

Tony George and his business that once was a school. Continuously hires young, pathetic teachers that are not competent to teach older years. When asked to take action on such matters the school will defend the teacher unable to take in the students needs.

We t here for four years and the whole time was desperate to move, finally left and it feels like a weight off my shoulders. They care more about girls skirt lengths than actually teaching anything. Do not recomend.

I used to go to a great school but then i went to St Stephens Duncraig i was amazed at how techno this school was and great teachers. The faclities are exellent and are always clean. I would recomend this school to anyone!
