| Constant bullying. Everyone in my grade tries to off themselves. Abuse is normalized. Teachers are nice but target specific groups. No help for disabilities. I am constantly exhausted and ridiculed for being 'different'. I have consulted students in similar situations and they say it gets worse. Students have no respect. Stay away from this school at all costs. |

| this school is the worst place you will ever go to. only go there if you want to be bullied, abused physically and verbally and even assulted. shoutout to the shitty teachers and the grade 11 class of 2022. never go here you will come out trying to slit your wrists. i have teachers accuse me of having psychological issues instead of helping me and they did nothing for me. |

| do not come to this school unless you want to spend your last years of school creating trauma and mental health problems. san sisto does not care at the slightest when it comes to mental health they instead suspend you or give you a detention if they find out you are suicidal or selfharm, once i was given a monday afternoon detention for wearing the sports jacket with my uniform to cover up my arms i was then forced to show them and got sent back to class with permission to wear it for the rest of the day since they did not want the public to see as it reflects on the fake representation of the school that they make it out to be. they only care about ur uniform with unrealistic expectations and the rules often changing depending on what teachers if they see you wearing the slightest bit of jewellery or two sets of earrings they take it away for THE WHOLE TERM, they also make you wear your hat nearly every second of the day and refuse service to you at the tuckshop if you do not have it, this whole school is a complete joke they do not teach you anything the only thing they care about is the public image of the school and money, they do not care about bullying or homophobia and choose to do ignore it and do anything about it unless you have evidence of which they still won’t do anything, i have had stuff stolen from my locker and they did NOTHING but get me in trouble for having my phone in pocket since i do not feel safe at this school, teachers have yelled and revealed personal information about me infront of other students without any concern they have even been rude to my parents at meetings and parent teacher interviews, i have had my phone physically snatched out of my hand from a teacher as she yelled in my face even though i had just arrived to school, the school smells disgusting all the time and is filled with rubbish they only clean right before open days the bathrooms are gross, be prepared to get hard core bullied constantly if your anything but a straight white pretty popular girl, they refused to believe me when it comes to situations that were not true or i had been blamed for WITHOUT any evidence, students are treated differently depending on how well there academically doing, PLEASE DO NOT COME TO SAN SISTO COLLEGE ANY SCHOOL IS A BETTER OPTION DO NOT SEND UR DAUGHTER HERE. |

| Um, It's ok. Like some teachers could be either the best people ever or either the worst people on earth. The uniform rule is unnecessary, especially with the sports uniform thing where you can't wear it to and from school. Another one is about the earring rule too. The pros of this school are probably when they have a lot of opportunities. Like sports and academic ones, and SOME facilities. Oh and it's really dirty, like the kids litter everywhere. Improvements need to be made, or the school will go downhill like really bad. xo |

I know that it's possible that I'm biased because I'm an anti-social and quiet student who performs well in all of my classwork, so I haven't quite had the same experiences as many others. However, as someone who's almost finished their time at this school, I can say that the school doesn't particularly care about the mental health of their students, and only care about their reputation. Whenever I have talked to people at the wellbeing centre about my issues with mental health, such as anxiety, or even about my bad habits such as procrastination, they have attempted to blame it on my family members, tell me to simply get over it, or tell me that I should get a therapist. As well as this, when friends have gone to the well about their grief, the teacher Ms Jaimes told her that she should simply, "Get over it". This is not how a school should treat their students, and is unacceptable. However, compared to other schools I have to admit that the academic opportunities at this school are amazing, and issues with bullying are no where near as bad as they are lourdes. If you care about the mental health of your child, and have no way of sending them to therapy, or are unable to support them yourself, I would not recommend sending your child here, and try to get them into a school such as Wynnum, or Cav. However, if you believe you can support your child to help them get through their anxiety, and you want them to have good opportunities for academic excellence, the school is better on budget, and provides an array of ways for your child to get involved.

| San Sisto College is an absolutely wonderful school, both my children are currently enrolled and have been for 3 years, the teachers are so supportive and school officers so helpful. The Well Being Center, Year Level Coordinators and Principals are so knowledgeable and thoughtful. I can not fault the school. We are so glad we made the decision to send our daughters. |

| We are really happy with our daughter's experience at San Sisto College. She commenced in Year 7 & is now entering Year 10. Her academic achievements have been exceptional, she has supportive and helpful teachers and the overall inclusiveness at the school is a highlight. The school offers a vast range of activities and opportunities and caters to academics, creative and sporting girls and encourages uniqueness. |

My husband and I are so pleased we found the college and our youngest daughter is so excited to attend in a couple of years. My daughter is currently in Year 10 and has loved the school since she started at the beginning of Year 7. She has amazing teachers and has always been supported pastorally by her School Coordinators.

| I choose to move my daughter to San Sisto College (Carina) because of the the fact is it a 'smaller' (in student number) school. My daughter was lost among the many at a 'larger' school, and did not have the opportunities nor the encouragement to strive to do her best. The other students at San Sisto have been very welcoming and my daughter has a wonderful group of strong, independent women who encourage, support and celebrate each other. Her grades and attendance have both improved as her classroom environments are more conducive to learning with fewer disciplinary actions required to control the behaviour of other students and the high standards. The uniform requirements are not different to any other catholic education school. It is a sun safe school which mandates hat and sunscreen wearing, which I fully support for the health of my student, and like any of the other catholic or private schools in the area, have uniform standards for when in public. My daughters classes have been engaging and she has enjoyed them (reflected in her grades and attitude). I truly believe we made the correct choice to change schools, for my daughter. She is happier and engaged in her subjects. There isn't anything else a parent really wants. |

| I am a parent at this school, and may I just say that my daughter comes home every day complaining and constantly upset about the teacher, such as Mrs McCabe, Mrs Hunter and Mr Beiers. All this school cares about is the school uniform and reputation which is not healthy for these teenage girls and their learning. I send her to school for her to get a good education, not to get picked on by adults and their unnecessary rules. |

| it is ridiculous utterly ridiculous that my daughters school has not yet had a school lockdown drill to keep our precious girls safe. you would have thought that the most "prestigious" school would at least put a practice lockdown in to the school system but ohhhhhh no there has been not even one lockdown drill this year. this is outrageous!! which by the google dictionary means shocking. I mean come on san sisto what happened to keeping our girls safe? |

| As a student at this school, I would have to say, It's not as great as everyone puts it out to be. The uniform policy is absolutely unnecessary, we are only allowed one ear ring in per ear, and our hats have to be on at nearly every second of the day, like bro wtf. Regarding teachers, majority of them are fine, but there are some that will not care about you unless you are popular or academically gifted. There is a lot of bullying at this school, transphobia and racism. It's not a very good environment to be in. I attempted suicide during school hours, teachers were not aware I had until 1 hour later. It really is just not the greatest school. Reconsider is what I would say if you are thinking about choosing schools. |

| san sisto doesn’t care about your mental health and the reputation isn’t very good as people vape and stuff like that and some teachers don’t provide a decent education towards their class and it affects them when exams/assessments come around. there are some people which are extremely transphobic and the staff don’t do much because they don’t care. people get bullied and staff do nothing. the staff behaviour i would say is appalling. |

| If you are thinking of sending your child to San Sisto, I urge you to reconsider. All they care about is money and the reputation of the school. All the teachers want is for our grades to be amazing and if they’re not we get neglected. Same goes for if a student is getting bullied, they do nothing about it because they want to protect the reputation of the students who bully. People have been caught vaping and doing drugs along with selling them. The toilets are absolutely disgusting, they are rarely cleaned and one of the taps was broken and wasn’t fixed until right before open day. There is an overwhelming amount of rules when it comes to uniform policy. Students are distracted from learning because they are so anxious about getting in trouble for our low grades or an error in our uniform. Some teachers are great but most aren’t, many students have felt uncomfortable around staff before and they have ignored it. When you try and reach out about issues you’re having with other students they basically just shut you down. If your child needs extra support, they won’t get it at san sisto. About 8 students in my grade have left the school already and we aren’t even half way through term 2, I think that speaks for it’s self about how bad the school is and how little students enjoy going here. |

| trust me when I say. DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL!!! You will leave this school traumatised. If you want you daughter to feel as though she is not worthy of anyones time and that she should drop out or even give up on life. This school is perfect! | I have been a parent at San Sisto for almost a decade, and every year it gets worse. My first daughter had a wonderful experience but my second daughter has struggled, as the culture of the school is toxic and I would not recommend anyone send their children here. My second daughter experienced malicious bullying, and when she brought it up with the school they called constant inappropriate behaviour "borderline bullying" and did nothing about it. They then went on to reward one of the bullies with a leadership role. The school is a joke. My daughter witnessed a classmate go through depression and she attempted suicide. The school was pathetic in dealing with this. It was so atrocious I have contemplated contacting the education board for an internal investigation. I am so saddened by everything that has happened, because the school does have an excellent music program, and sporting program which both of my daughters have enjoyed. There are much nicer schools available in the area - please send your daughters there so that they are not a victim of malicious bullying and failed leadership. |

| I love the vast range of activities that has been offered, such as the Italian tour, East Timor Immersion, Commonground, Sporting activities, social justice activities, musical activities, and more. The Well is great, offering support with timetables, relationship issues, study skills, career guidance, food and exercise help, relaxation, mentoring, etc. |

| Started out ok then went downhill by grade 10. Not sure if its teachers not handling teenager girls well enough or if there is just the culture of the school where it's all females. Experience for my daughter: stress,bullies, lots of focus on looks, not enough encourage when marks aren't the best but lots of effort and late nights put in. Saw the other bad reviews and also say thank god we left! |

| Daughter totally unmotivated to go to school, was stressed and angry all the time. I just thought hey it's the teenage years and high school is tough. Didn't realise just how tough it can be when my girl open up tk me and said it's like being in a prison full of girls who are hormonal angry and just plain mean. I spoke with other parents and its same all round for lots of girls. Read the other comments here and thought yep its not just my girl. She's going to a coed state school next year where she already has friends that are doing really well. I guess I thought boys would be a distraction but their more a distraction when the girls can't see them and think about only that all day!!!!!! It's like a competition, how many guys did you speak to on the bus, on the weekend, do you have a boyfriend. Puhleeeaaassse. Okay I need to say it, the single sex thing doesn't work maybe with boys but definitely not with girls. It's very old fashioned and last century snd if we really believe in equality thsn we need to mix the kids together like in the real world. |

As an ex student I would say it's not a good place for girls who aren't pretty, popular or cool. The popular girls can get pretty mean and bullying and theres an obsession with boys because there are none around. I'm jealous of my friends that went to coed high schools because they got a real world experience with mixing with both girls and boys. I'm at uni now and totally struggle mixing with males and it makes things harder because I can't do group work without getting embarrased and shy. For the whole time I was at San Sisto I just put up with the mean girls, fights, jealousy you name it. The teachers were good and knew about the problems with some girls but what can they do when these girls fake nice at school but do the opposite outside of school. I guess I did all right even with the stress but I know I would have done much better at a coed school
