This school is shit and my coworkers act like animals. They even bite me sometimes when I don't show up to work. They growl and hiss. One of my students came out as gay and got beaten up. I laughed. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE.

I do NOT recommend sending your child to unity, the teachers treat students like absolute shit, they don’t care about your mental health and expect you to do hours worth of work everyday at home. Yes we go to school for an education, but this is where we spend our young years so we should at least be able to enjoy ourselves. I have been at this school since year 3, moving here was the worst decision my parents ever made. Most people your friends with talk shit about you behind your back, like not one day goes by without someone talking some crap about someone. You would be better off sending your child to a state school than this one. You’re paying money for what exactly??

This school has been one of the best ones out there so much things to do at morning tea lunch sports carnivals are another level so many game to be played and running race like eg.from 800m to 100m for fast runs or slow runs they have a lot of different ways to help kids learn .tuck shop is wonderful.

well I like the school the kids talk a lot but I guess when you think about that’s what usually happens at school the tuckshop it has some good food but I would really like some dim sims but i guess you can’t complain they try hard. It’s a good school when you think long and hard about when your trying to sleep at night but I can get over the fact that they removed dim sims they where very yummy and it’s the one I need at lucnh but is really all kangaroo Vegemite true snag blue pub smoko Aussie tradie mate and the red bull on the early mornings i a life saver oh wait I like life savers as wel there yummy we should at them to the canteen now I can’t stop thinking about life savers

The see through glass on the side of the buildings is a cool addition to the school it lets some light in when the sun is shining but when it is night time no light comes in but then at the same time on the earth who is really at school learning at night time no one I know I don’t think but you can see some dirt on the windows they could be cleaned but it’s not really hurting anyone I don’t think but there cool it was a cool invention to let sun in but the don’t let night in

well the white board can maybe have some pen on it at times but I guess guess when you think long and hard about it what is a WHITE/BLACKBOARD actually used for I guess for writing things to help learners be their best but they can be a distraction with the squeaky pen but but that’s all for the white board their pretty cool I guess depends how you look at it or write it

This school is bloody terrible I’ve been here for many years and throughout my primary i had a few good teachers maybe 3 or 4. Middle school and High school have been horrible and i can name some reasons. Mrs Nickolson is mean and always thinks your being rude about her. Mrs Goodwin-Newberry is an actual f*ck whit always yelling at us like literally go to the retirement home already. And I could name more teachers but like they are so bloody rude and like I said earlier about 3 teachers are exceptions. Mr bond, Mr Arico and Mrs Jones they are quite literally the only half decent teachers. For the rest of the teachers you really need to learn some respect for the students and the curriculum is terrible you aren’t teaching us any skills for working or being successful algebra and other stuff isn’t gonna help us for anything

So my daughter was told to leave the school today after they found out I do porn as away of providing for my 6 children after leaving a 20 year abusive marriage and him going on to withhold all finances including child support . Was hand over my children to social services or make money fast . Her dad died in June this year and she really struggled with it , all of the teachers had no compassion for her , absolutely disgusting in how they’ve treated us .

starting to think the gardens are more important than the students now. And the teachers are really disrespectful. When I was at the interview, my Mum had told the interviewer that I had memory problems, which is true and my memory gets worse when I'm tired. Then Unity expects me to remember all my grades I get for all my classes to calculate my GPA! Another example of teachers being disrespectful is when I tell them that I left something at my Dad's house (my parents are divorced so i have two house's and I need to remember to bring a lot so sometimes.) And a teacher full on yells at me! Did the school even inform my teachers about my memory issues!? Students are assholes, Teacher's are shitty. Don't send your Children here, they'll end up living in your house when their in their 40's.

Unity College is a sick joke, teachers are another level of disrespectful and do not respect students or their well-being whatsoever. this school is a greedy money scam for parents to cash out thousands per year for an ‘education’, learning is the last of their priorities as they spend their time having a go at students for pointless things like 2 earrings in as if earrings effect a students learning? This school is the worst in the Coast and I would not recommend any parent to spend money sending their child to a school like this. Unity does absolutely nothing about bullying or harassment to students, they focus more on looks then education and never acknowledge the students trying to just get through the day, rather focusing on students that disrupt learning and cause discomfort for everybody around them. they shove their religion down your throats and won’t respect your personal beliefs, they don’t care about students home lives and expect them to dedicate all their time to school while handing out pages of homework and assignments every day offering no support, very few teachers offer support and genuine care to the students which makes school a little more bearable, but you don’t have these teachers school is hell, the teachers and leaders do not care about metal health and personal issues. one of the teachers once yelled at my friend for not attending school due to her iron deficiency becoming bad as if they can control it, they expect perfection from children and forget that the students are literal kids, middle age teachers viciously come after 12 year olds and it’s disgusting. myself, who still attends this school has been subjected to harassment and bullying and the school leaders did absolutely nothing but make excuses and pretend to care. they are completely different people once parents get involved but still sometimes ignore the parents email with concern about their child. this school is an embarrassment and it’s humiliating to be associated as a student here. do not send your kids here, save ur money and go to a public school where they will be educated properly and prepared for the real world. unity college is a state school that charges parents got money and is a disgrace of an institution. not to mention that most of these teachers are pedophiles and make students deeply uncomfortable with disgusting comments, remarks and just their overall presence.

This schools religious program is a fundementalist and not at all compatible with the new ATAR system. Our old school captain is now glueing himself to the streets of Brisbane. We are taught no modern social skills besides ones stated in The Bible and we, despite our mission goal, are abhorrently close minded to other religions besides catholic.
Children are taught homophobic, conservative and disgusting views. Send your child here if you want a dopamine addict with the mental capacity of a neanderthal.

Unity College is TERRIBLE. Firstly, the teachers are not helpful to students, in the many years that I’ve gone to this school I’ve had maybe 3-5 actually helpful teachers. I’ve had teachers that were 15-30 minutes late to EVERY CLASS, I’ve had a teacher walk into class after break and start eating lunch while scrolling through her phone essentially ignoring the whole class and almost EVERY teacher I’ve had the displeasure of learning from will ignore the well behaved kids in favour of yelling at the rude, disruptive kids. The frustration that comes from finally getting the teachers attention and then, when their about to answer you question, one of the bad kids starts up again the teacher is gone. Secondly, the uniforms are thick and plastic making them super uncomfortable and way too hot in the Australian sun, no matter how hot it gets students who wear the sport uniform, which is a little cooler that the formal, are still punished because this school cares MUCH more about their image than the well-being of their students. the paths and eating areas are all uncovered too, with very little exceptions. This mean that, in storm season, students are left to run from cover to cover which usually have a lot of space in between and on top of that, after students get to class, they are punished for getting wet. Finally, Unity College does not give a SINGLE SHIT about their students, they only care about their image. Last year one of my friends was being bullied and it eventually got really bad, to the point where their bully was harassing them daily both mentally and physically, we reported this to the head of year (at that time) over and over but the bully only got a chat from the teacher, NOTHING ELSE. It got to the point where we were reporting it almost daily and the head of year began to tell us that “student is going through some things right now

The squeaky wheel gets the most oil. If you are out of control, causing trouble in class and stopping others from working you'll get all the attention in the world. A great place to thrive if you are a bullying liar and bludger. Too bad for you if you just get on with your work and act like a normal person. Save your money and send your child to a state school. They'll get better results. The school talks the talk but doesn't walk the work. The leadership is male dominated, are never really present and nonsensical.

Disorganised, lacks any real communication between parents and the school leadership. There is a facade of care in the high school but I would suspect is really about just saying all the right things. My child always did their work and the teachers were generally good with drafting and feedback, but too much time was spent by teachers chasing up student drafts. Teachers informed classes that 154 students were put into the 'Drafting Room' on one particular day for not doing their work. The uniform is worn poorly and bullying is rife. Good teachers are given are hard time and can be seen to be spied on and visibly upset when they are working their tails off. Too many good teachers leave - so I pulled my child out. Too much time wasting and run by team of misogynists.

This school is the worst school on the coast by far. I had my nails done (acrylic) and was pulled up to the office and had them cut off with garden clippers. Literal clippers that they use to cut bushes. Insulted by teachers and called 'cake face' for wearing makeup. Very expensive yet the teachers are horrendous and do not care for the students education, my friends and I get pulled out of our classes for wearing too much makeup and are forced to miss school days as a result of not feeling comfortable at school without foundation because of the bullying, which they do absolutely nothing about and then have students taking it into their own hands approaching other students for their friends to beg that they stop bullying. I did this, was pulled up to the office and told that I was the one bullying when the girl I approached CALMLY was leaving things all over the internet about my friends and I. The teachers are constantly on strike which results in students either sitting in the gym all day or not attending school whilst our parents are still forking out money. No classrooms have air conditioning or blinds so that we can see the board, we do not have undercover walkways so whenever it rains students get drenched and are left freezing cold and shivering in class. Girls are spoken to more often about earrings, makeup and hair than they are questioned about their education. Grade 12 boys have been sent home for not shaving off stubble in the office bathroom after they have been demanded to. Understanding that this is a catholic school they FORCE the religion down our throats and refuse to acknowledge any other religion. A boy in grade 11 beat up a girl and was inter school suspended for one day (which means he sat in the office for a day instead of being in classes) after he literally beat a female yet one of my friends swore in front of a child on snapchat and was properly suspended for 7 days and had to have a re enrolment meeting with the child's parents and every higher up staff member. They are only interested in the reputation. Paid out news agencies to make sure they didn't publish our drug bust (which was published) I would not recommend this school to anyone who wishes to keep their sanity and not send their tear ducts into malfunction.

From teachers saying things like "we should burn down abortion centers with all the workers in them" to not allowing partners from outside of the school to y12 formal because one a year a boy bought his boyfriend. Unity if run by opressive religious, homophobic, self obsessed, morally conflicting nutjobs. Who often cross the boundary between normal religion and terrorism with the things they do and say. The dress code is strict on a retarded level, like y12 can only wear their $80 student jersey on wednesday? And all students MUST wear a blazer in winter even on hot winters days? One girl got a detention for not wearing a hat, undercover... this doesnt even tackle the real issue of how average the education is, for a school that expects me to pay a few grand a year for my student it has learning on par with the lowest of the public schools, your money is much wisert invested elsewere. Send your child to any public school in the area for a better and more cost effective education.

Seriously dissatisfied with the running of the school. The senior years at Unity are a joke and provide an unequal educational system. Students are consistently crying and lying to receive extensions, and the school will only acknowledge these specific students and will ignore the others. There is a reason they are below the state average for education. Do not recommend at all.
