Check out the schools ATAR rankings compared to other fee-paying schools in the region - yeah its not that great. Considering the fee's are going up every year substantially, this is not reflected in VCE results. We took our kids out of the school as we were sick of the bullying that the school just ignores - right from the principal to the teachers, they have a culture of victim blaming and turning a blind eye to issues they dont want to take responsibility for. The standard of teaching is appalling, with many teachers being dismissive of students that require extra help. We are very grateful that we moved our kids to a public school in their final years as they both got into university and did well, whereas their cohort that stayed at Flinders had miserable results, and most were not going on to University. I would highly recommend to anyone reading this is to look at other options in the bayside area for secondary education, you are basically penalising your kids and diminishing their chances of achieving a decent ATAR if you keep them at Flinders. | | | By Parent - 2016年04月12日, 评价: 优秀 | | Been going to this College for a long time with our 3 children through the Secondary College Years. We have found this school to be well suited to our 3 teenagers. It is a nurturing school with Christian values & good family values. Our teenagers are all highly academic and have achieved high results in all their years. However, they are all diligent students who love to learn & study so i think that is a big contributor to why they do very well. Students who are academic and want to learn are suited here. Yes all VCE subjects are not suited to all students in reference to their career pathway and i have known some to leave at end of Year 10 and go elsewhere to do their VCE subjects to follow their relevant pathway.
