Awesome school great staff

Weirdly Big Brother atmosphere. Not a bad GaT program, with a lovely music program for school bands and solo acts. Teachers vary a lot, there are good and bad teachers in every faculty. Largely conservative student and teacher body, with quite a lot of homophobia and stigma surrounding LGBT issues, which is not unusual for the western suburbs. One thing I really didn't like about the English course from year 7 to year 10 is the fact that the books we were assigned were not very good at all. I know the teachers want to modernise courses and not offer 'boring' classic literature, but those books are remembered and studied for a reason. They're really good books, that present interesting concepts. Instead we are made to read mediocre, contemporary YA fiction. I would argue that this is partly to blame for the fact that the school attains below average results for reading and writing. Robotics club is good, despite the weird undertones of misogyny. Girls are included simply because there is a current push for girls to be included in technology activities, and after they achieve the presence of girls, they are ignored. The boys are the ones mostly asked to do work, and are the ones given responsibilities and commemorations. All in all a mediocre school that is okay if you just want to get your HSC and move on.

This school hires very odd teachers. At parent teacher interviews, i felt very weird being around them, seeing how they talk and act. I have heard some disturbing stories of the teachers from not only my daughter, but from friends and family that attend or have attended the school. I did not feel that my daughter was safe in this school and neither did she. She decided to move to another school and i fully supported this choice.
