The grade 11 pastoral leader Ms Dean is very disrespectful and quite literally bullies some students. This is not just an issue among 1 student but the whole grade 11 cohort. She makes my daughter dread coming to school everyday and has affected her mentality and total view towards her school filled with absolute hatred because of this one teacher. Her attitude and treatment towards the students is horrible unlike the other pastoral leaders who negotiate and understand. A teacher especially a pastoral leader is someone who students feel comfortable to talk to and discuss issues however unfortunately it is the complete opposite as she causes my daughter these issues and I deal with my daughters tears every night. Certain cultural and personal jewelry has been physically ripped out of my daughters hands after being constantly reprimanded leaving her heartbroken and deeply upset as a piece of her culture was taken from her that day. Meanwhile every other teacher, leader and principle was totally fine with my daughter wearing this as it was hidden beneath her collar. My daughter is still extremely upset over this issue that occurred more than a year ago and walks around school with constant hatred and fear incase of another run in with Ms Dean.
