| I started at Cardijn this year, (Year 7) I'm absolutely loving this school, I look forward to coming to school, the teachers are amazing, the work does get overwhelming sometimes but that's normal at all schools. The amount of support that is given to kids with learning needs is immaculate. For students with intellectual disabilities there is the Marist learning centre. For kids with mental health (Anxiety etc) needs there are regulation cards given and it gives the student permission to go for 10 minutes to the regulation room and come back more regulated. The wellbeing centre is amazing aswell. Counselling and support is absolutely amazing at Cardijn. The school also knows how to take care of a student misbehaving, with the reflection room. If you are constantly misbehaving you are sent to the reflection room. I haven't been there so I'm not really sure how it all works but a few of my classmates have. Uniform is very strict but that's something to expect with Private schools. At Cardijn this year, I have only witnessed 2 fights in the entire year, and those students were suspended and even after the suspension, they were not allowed back in class for 1 week and were in the main office area before being allowed back. Bullying is very well dealt with. The way the school puts so much effort in is amazing, won't go through it all but I can promise you, its dealt with amazingly. Best day at Cardijn that most people look forward to is Athon day, which is when all the houses come together with their house charities and give those donations. Its an absolutely amazing day, with casual clothing, awesome house activities, the year 12 dance, the College Captains doing a hilarious roleplay type of thing, it all just is amazing. All over, this school is absolutely amazing. I love it here | |
