Woods Bagots inspired design for C.F. Row references the layered history of this iconic site. Originally home to C.F. Rojo and Sons, furniture makers who crafted made to order pieces, the site later housed Thonet, the manufacturer and importer of the famous bentwood chair. Simple, graceful and distinctive in design, C.F. Row apartments are defined by the innovation and exacting craftsmanship that has always been part of this heritage site.
The design also evokes the laneways and terrace rows of Fitzroy, preserving the texture and grain of the local streetscape. Bound by a distinctive heritage wall, the texture of the brick is continued throughout C.F. Row, including the private terraced laneway. Mimicking the laneways that thread through Fitzroy, C.F. Rows lane area is a captivating space to relax, impeccably landscaped by the renowned Jack Merlo Design.
