This school is filled with some really mean people, i identify as a fae/fem and EVERYONE GETS MY PRONOUNS WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is UNACCEPTABLE. They all bully me until the point of where i wanna die. I just want to bark at people in peace. If u just want to go to school in peace and be yourself pls dont go to this school.

The teaching is above average in terms of academics and I am impressed with the progress my daughter has made with her grades. However, while the education aspect of Roseville College may be to a good standard, there is an ABUNDANCE of bullying at this school. Not only this, but the staff do not know how to handle bullying whatsoever. They show no acknowledgement of victims of bullying and when they have tried to sort out conflict, they have only escalated the severity and caused distress to students and their families. If you value good grades, send your student to this school. However if you value your daughter’s well-being and safety, Roseville College is not a good choice. Disappointed.

My daughter is in year 10 and has been a Roseville for 4 years. She thinks that it is truly horrid and the worst school in sydney!
I don’t believe that it is this bad but it is very disappointing as a small private school.
the bathrooms are never cleaned my daughter said they always stink and have inappropriate drawings on the walls! This school has a huge bullying problem my daughter was called gross and a dog with rabies by her close friends! This cannot go on anymore so i deeply advise all you parents to not go to Roseville college.

I have a child whos been going to Roseville for a year, She thinks its a lovely school however she thinks their isnt a lot of freedom with the school uniform policy. My beatiful daughter has also gone through some bullying by your friends calling her disgusting and quite fat which isn't true!! This behaver is horrible and it seems like the teachers do n't care about this behavour. Overall this school is decent but i'd recomend another school.

I went to this school and moved recently to a new high school after finding it very discouraging to have had bad teacher that favoured particular students aka having teacher pet and not caring at all for mental heath for other students outside of those few

Roseville has become a school of extreme Christianity. It was not that way in the past or when I chose to enroll my daughter there. It used to be welcoming, and accepting, and reflect the Christian values' of love, gentleness, thinking of others, etc. However, it has become judgemental in recent times and reeks of fundamentalism. For example, my daughters had 'lessons' about termination of pregnancy that involved inaccurate information and 'testimonies' from an anti-abortion woman, with absolutely no balance whatsoever. Also, the school previously celebrated and accepted diversity by wearing it purple and other things. Not so in recent times- a very anti LGBTQI message from the school - much to the detriment of students. Since we enrolled children in the school, it changed from being grounded in a Christian ethos, but accepting and welcoming to now being based on the 'teachings and tenets of the Sydney Anglican church., The principal in the welcome video states we are 'inclusive, welcoming students at any point of their faith journey- revealing an essential failure to acknowledge and respect other points of view. Although there was much to value in this school, I would no longer recommend it. There is an arrogance arising from its fundamentalism that is damaging and insidious, and it is no longer the outstanding school that it was

they are great with religion - but can be to kind and to protective they should let the students have a bit more freedom. they talk to them as though they are princesses which is not how you are going to be treated on the outside. they care lots about their students and are a good school. I would recommend a co-ed private but roseville is still nice. if you feel like showering you daughter with gifts then sending them - the teachers can get distracted and need to get there students ready for high-school. High School is good but i would prefer co-ed along with many of my friends. overall a good school if you are rich

This school has been really good I’ve been going for 7 years everyone is nice but I’m getting a bit tired of having the same subjects and personally the schools academic rate is really high so I wouldn’t suggest going endless your extremely good at the basic subjects.

All schools have good and bad points. As a parent of two girls at Roseville since 2009 we’ve been happy with the culture amongst the girls themselves ( grounded and friendly) and with the teachers ( hardworking & warm). We still miss Dr Scott who is one in a million and showed leadership in valuing and accepting people & their diversity , and lived her faith rather than evangelising. The evangelism aspect of the school is definitely its weakest point in our view.

I just graduated this year and from a current perspective, I disagree greatly with the other reviews. Roseville college from the outside is viewed as a tiny, sheltered Northshore school, however, after attending the school for 6 years I have found that to definitely not be the case. The first point on Christianity being strong at Roseville is true to an extent, but I believe that in the past few years this has changed a lot. For example for the past 2 years in Christian studies classes, we looked at ethics, happiness and justice through a lens that considered students of all faiths. Additionally, weekly chapel is so welcoming and the songs are like rock/modern songs that everyone gets into, clapping and singing, regardless of faith.
The education at Roseville is also extremely strong with so many dedicated teachers and also lots of afterschool tutorials and the senior studies center, so students can get extra help. I acknowledge that there are some less engaging teachers, but admin is always more than happy to move a student's class, if they are unhappy with a teacher.
The big difference I think with Roseville compared with some other private schools on the North shore is the sense of family and inclusion that is evident within the year groups. Because year groups are only about 100 people, girls feel know by their peers and staff and are able to develop friendships across different groups. The school also encourages the development of each student's global perspective and definitely does not foster entitlement like other schools.
Sport has also a big part of my Roseville experience and despite their lack of facilities, the PDHPE department at Roseville are the most passionate and kind teachers in the entire school. They encourage participation at all levels and provide opportunities also for high performing students.
I'd also like to acknowledge however that of course there are issues with some students at the school within different year groups, related to drugs, vaping ect. However, the school tries their best to mitigate these issues, and I think that to an extent such issues are inevitable from some students and are evident in every high school. A school shouldn't be judged for the behaviour of a few students.
Overall, Roseville is a great school and I would recommend it for any type of student. The Roseville culture encourages, connectedness, kindness and passion.

The Mears family should have won the lawsuit.
Roseville completely disregards the care of it’s students. They value reputation, Christianity and self preservation above the well being, education, growth, development and even happiness of the girls.
My father died whilst I was in Year 7. I left in year 9 after a teacher “explained” to our Christian studies class that it was my fault my dad had died. That I did not pray hard enough or I deserved for him to be dead. My mum complained but the school took the teachers side.
On my last day the deputy head mistress (who attended my dad’s funeral but couldn’t remember who I was ) locked me up in sick bay for 6 hours because my friends wrote on my uniform.
Roseville is an ignorant institution where if you show any individuality in thoughts, beliefs, creativity, you are dismissed of any value.
If you love your daughters, don’t send them to Roseville.

Agree with the other comments about the christianity not being very respectful or welcoming. Got more dogmatic over time. Was much better when Bryony Scott was principal.
Other than that the school has some great teachers

Roseville is a great school if you are a crazy about christianity and I mean crazy. The teachers are random. Some are good and some are just plain bad and boring. I would say that the girls that go there are pretty nice though. There is no bullying well none that I am aware of. There is virtually no grounds and sport has to take place in pretty random places. For the fees they charge - I would say, take a good look around at alternatives first.

In my experience, this school has been... ok. The teachers are fantastic for sure and there isn't really any bullying at all, but if you are an atheist, just don't. It's exhausting, as religion is everywhere you turn, and they never shut up about it, not to mention they help the salvation army; a discriminatory charity that chooses who it helps based on various factors. But more importantly, the school has a lack of facilities and, for the extremely high amount that one pays to go there, it hardly provides anything for creative subjects.
Honestly, this school is either perfect for you, or it doesn't work at all, and it's your choice if you want to take the risk.
