We first began at this school in 2012, it was an amazing school and we were very happy. Each year the school grew larger and larger and it really went downhill. Academically it’s great, but everything else, forget it. The welfare officer is simply a teacher who did a day or 2 of extra training. She seems nice enough but has no knowledge of specific disabilities and learning issues. Because the school is so big they have a large “leadership team” which includes the principal and 3 AP’s who all have 2 leading teachers working underneath them... this seems like a ridiculous amount of “leadership” and money that is wasted when they could actually employ a fully welfare/social worker. Teachers are mostly great but are not supported by leadership. School looks great but don’t be fooled by its looks! We were marketed with a wetland for student learning - this just became a snake pit. In the 9 years we have been there none of my 3 kids have ever gone in there! The swimming program is a good addition, but it cannot replace regular lessons, as the school lessons have 8+ kids in a lane about 1.5-2m long. You are unable to directly contact your child’s teacher, or any staff member for that matter, electronically. You must call the school and leave a message or send an email via the generic email address. Staff will then not reply to your email - they are not allowed to! They will call you instead. Seems like they don’t want a paper trail. The last straw for us was when a past teacher, who verbally and emotionally abused children, and there was even some physical aspects (although not severe) returned to the school after being gone for a few years, now as a PE teacher! Why would you want someone back who was like this? She doesn’t even let the kids have a break for a drink when it’s 35 degrees. Very disappointing. We are out.

Unfortunately there is not enough emphasise on spelling or times tables which should be a core focus at primary. Too many first year teachers and a massive lack of communication.

My child is in gr 2 and has great teachers each year. The only complaint I have is lack of supervision. The yard is only supervised 5 mins before school starts, meaning everyone is turning up at the same time (yep all
900+ Kids. In saying that I've never seen a staff member on yard duty before school. After school there is one teacher at the front of school and occasionally one on the side of the school. Not enough!

This achool is great!! I'm not sure if these comments/reviews are all correct and are coming from people in our school community or rival schools but I assure you this school is 100% AWESOME. I recommend this IB school to everyone no matter what their nationality is, their personality or looks. Music for those musicy people, Art for the artists and PE for the sporty ones and great academics for the brainy ones. I Love the school. They show care for each student. A million claps to the staff. Even when I was a new student I felt at home. I appreciate everything they've done for me.

This is Sienna.C H42 ,this is the best school I have ever been to! I think the teachers, aids and helpers are awesome, my teacher Bianca makes teaching look so easy and makes it fun for everyone. Ms Natalie is one of the best principles that I have ever had. She kind and cares about every single one of her students whether they are nice or naughty. I love our school and I think it should be rated 99/100 LOVE IT!

There are a number of the year 6 children that are missing out on inter school sports and other activities due to Natalie's idea that year 5 should now be treated like year 6. This is wrong as this is there last year and there for should be able to enjoy every minute of it. The year 5 will get there turn when they get to year 6 just like everyone else. This is not right. So much for we are a community and should give all kids a go well !!!!

Are you kidding? The carols evening was a shambles. First they were having it at a reception venue. Then the 'clicky parents' all got together & decided they wanted it at school so they could bring all their riff-raff & sit with each other gossiping away. Meanwhile, I had arranged for my Cancer suffering in-laws to fly down from interstate to watch the carols in air-conditioned comfort. Of course that was a waste of time because the 'in crowd' got their way. I'm looking at you, all those parents on the Facebook page.
Luckily the teaching at this school is excellent, because the community as a whole is not!

We'll both my children have been at the school since day one. It was small but as all things in life they grow. Things change all the children are at school to learn dont worry about little leader things just let them enjoy primary school. I tell my kids every morning just go to school do what u can play with who u want and enjoy. No school is perfect. Some teachers are good and some are not as good but that's everywhere. I think they do want they need to and want they can. But if as parents u are not happy u can always move.

This is a fantastic school. We have been at the school since it opened in 2011 and have nothing bad to say about. I would have to strongly disagree with the above comments and parents need to realise that not all kids are leaders....it doesn't mean that they are not special in their own way. They do get praised and get awards at assembly.....and the awards don't always go to the same kids. Keep up the great work staff and kids!

Well what can I say it's like everyone can see what's going on in the school except the principle herself. Get rid of this stupid leaders thing they have in there heads. Every child is a leader. Yes it is always the same kids that get everything. It puts the other children down and that's wrong all kids are special there are favourites and I could name a few off the top of my head. We already know 100%the leaders next year. So wake up principle and make all kids feel special and parsed each day.

I agree with previous parent about the School Captain thing. The same kids get picked every year. It seems to be the ones with parents that are classroom helpers. You know, some of us have to work full time. Just because we can't be helpers doesn't mean our kids should have to suffer.
There seems to be some very clicky groups of parents too. Especially those associated with the Fundraising Committee. This attitude rubs of off on their kids who in turn become bullies because they think they are the 'Queen Bees' of the school.
Then there are the parents that think road rules don't apply to them. Double parking waiting for kids to jump in the car which blocks the entire street. Parking over peoples driveways. It pretty disgusting. There is heaps of parking in the oval across the street. Get there early or park further away. Simple people!
So far we have had great classroom teachers. So it's not all bad. But improvements need to happen soon or this school could easily slide backwards very quickly.

Both my children began at this school when it first opened. It was a nice respectful and enjoyable place to be a part of. Now it has all changed and not for the better in the last year things have been very unpleasant rules are always changing. I have never seen a school that chooses the same children for leadership rolls and class captains the some kids for four years in a row. Its not what the kids know it's who you know. What happen to all children should be treated equally not in this school. My child has been captain and as a child even she feels that other children are not getting a go if you have done it give another child a go. Bulling is become more of an issue there is a big lack of communication with teachers themselves as well as the principle. It's sad but our children are just becoming another number. The class size were good but has now become crazy. When the two private local schools in the area closed down our school took too many kids more then they could handle. This was when our kids where pushed aside and changes were made to accommodate others. The teacher are a mix there are some that are fantastic and some that should not even be teaching. The school needs to start seeing that children with disability can still be respected like any other child and take on student rolls such as class captain and so on. Well hope things change for those that continue to stay. We are out!!!

This school is the best in the area. Teachers are all knowledgeable, caring and professional. The Principal is so passionate about the school and it shows. It is becoming more crowded but that is due to new housing development in the area and the schools excellent reputation. There are waiting lists to get in if your out of the area. Can only hope an IB High School of similar high standard to Kororoit Creek is started in the area as (at the moment) there is no where for the kids to go.

What started as a good well equipped school gone into overcrowded place with additional portable cabins being added on monthly bases.It looks like schools priority is government funding even if it means packing 1000 students in one year.By 29/01/14 I took my kid to school to find that large areas inside school fenced off and there is construction everywhere.Playground areas not accessible
and my kid ended up from a new fancy school in on of those poorly equipped shoe boxes sharing class room with another class.From the start we were promised around 16 kids per class and now it looks like it was a lie.Its our third year and looks like might be the last.It remainds me of a detention centre even I never been to one with exception that detention centre might have some space where to park.This school was suppose to handle much lesser number of students and it suffers from total lack of car space at drop off and pick up times,expertise in dealing with bullying even on principals level and lack off experienced teachers.Most of them never worked as a teacher before and it's like apprentice working on your car,things do go wrong and it's just sad when your child has to go though someone's learning curve.
Even main building is a new facility it has air conditioning only in teachers areas and reception.
Conclusion:Ongoing construction,old cabins added and schools is advertised as new facility,young inexperienced teachers,total and absolute lack of where to park even if you 15 min earlier than required.Old cabins accommodate 2 classes and poorly equipped.
It might get better but it's gone worse than used to be.
