| Happily and proudly graduated from here in 2016 around six years ago after eagerly waiting to finally graduate! The school itself has gone on a downward trend since around 2015 when Mr Egan became the principal of the school (and I unlike most students wasn’t too much of a Mr Barton fan either). Since then, the school has drastically changed leaving traditions, the way the school operates and many other things in the dust of the ground that the new “three-stream” system is being built on in a very futile attempt to bring in some more cash into the school. Going back to my point about the “three-stream” classes system, there are a higher number of students in them that do not come Catholic backgrounds. This is a problem because Regina Coeli brands itself as a “Catholic school” and it shows that they’re desperate to take in anybody now for the sake of filling up their classes. The last gripe I have with the “three-stream” system is the fact that the first “three-stream” grade are now in Year 4 (at the time of writing) and the school hasn’t even started building the proposed plan they announced in 2017. “Three-stream” classrooms aside, some of the teachers here cannot teach to the point where you’d start questioning how they got their teaching degrees in the first place. I have had a few mediocre teachers at Regina who do still work here (not naming anybody) that cannot teach the simple Reading, Writing and Arithmetic. There are many exceptions to this and some good teachers I’ve had include Mrs Hanson and Mrs Carlton who still work here and are great! Many teachers here cannot handle incidents of bullying properly. I was bullied to the point of being diagnosed with a medical condition related to the bullying. Now that I’ve listed almost everything bad about Regina Coeli in stupidly fine detail, I can say that I am very happy to have graduated from there and am now very happy with my high-school where I can feel a great sense of community and pride in going there. | |
