My ADHD was not taken seriously by any teacher, my autism went unnoticed, I was living in a domestic violence situation almost the entirety of high school and only 2 teachers in that time questioned or cared for my poor attendance that resulted. If you’re not a high achiever or PERCEIVED of high intelligence, you will be left behind as a student.
