| My daughter was enrolled in the nursery because we couldn't find vacancies anywhere else but I now know why. After a could of months I pulled my daughter out. In her last week my daughter was sick and I called to notify the centre and they told me that was fine. Almost 2 months later I had 2 separate payments taken out of my account. When I called to question it I was told it was because of overdue payments from when my child was sick because I didn't provide a doctors certificate even though this was never mentioned to me. When I questioned why I wasn't contacted before this the staff member said I don't know. When I questioned the delay and the two separate amount she also couldn't provide me with answers. There were times I would drop my daughter off in the mornings and there would only be one staff member in the nursery despite being more than 4 babies. I would definitely not recommend this centre and I am so glad we are now at a centre that cares about families. The communication among staff and with parents is very poor. I did not have a good experience at the centre and would definitely not want my child in that environment. | |

| No wonder they have vacancies when nobody else does... we had a tour organized by the call center and it all seemed to be fine until we actually got to the center. The lady who greeted (not really) us at the main counter looked annoyed by our presence. Anyway, she took us upstairs to show us the nursery. We only spent about 10 minutes in there and can't really give an opinion about the carers. What we can certainly point out is that the place certainly wasn't clean or "child-proof", my partner actually saw one little boy playing with a little cap, trying to chew on it: dangerous! But what stood out the most was the lady's attitude. Absolutely lacking any passion, needless to say interest in our inquiries. All she could do was handing over an enrollment booklet saying that it would have all the answers to our questions. We left, disappointed, and once home decided that we wanted to leave feedback in regards to our visit. I was also looking to speak to a manager to report the lady's attitude and I can't describe my surprise when I was told on the phone that Rose - the lady in question - was the actual manager there. Without hesitation we decided that Goodstart Early Learning in York Street would never be the childcate center for our daughter. But still, I wanted to pass our feedback on. So I called the main info line, which had previously proved to be helpful. I selected option 2, specifically to leave feedback and guess what? All operators were busy at that time so, although "my feedback is important to them", I haven't been called back or attended to. Definitely a Good start... not! | |
