This property was bought by my grandmother in 1922; I even have a copy of the original contract. Our family has had many years of love and laughter living here and now the time has come for us to pass the baton. The family has moved on and are now dispersed around the country. We are looking for a new family who wants to call this place home and begin their life story.
Originally built in 1902, it was the second house to be built in Salisbury Street. Grandma won the 'golden casket' in the 1930's and added an extra room to the back of the house. Dad decided in the 1960's to 'modernise' the house and so changes were made and the original windows were removed!
The home has 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, lots of love, high ceilings and tongue & groove walls. The land is 405m2 with 2 street frontages. It is only a short walk to Stones Corner Village where you will find plenty of gorgeous coffee shops, hop on a bus for a short 10 minute ride to the City, curl up with a book at the Stones Corner Library or wander around the shops to find a bargain.
