The beautiful European plane trees that characterize Blamey Crescent would have been just saplings when the vendors moved in to number 58, fifty-eight years ago. Raising a brood of 6 energetic children from the 1950s onwards would have been challenging, so one can well imagine the leafy parkland opposite would have been enthusiastically utilised for games of football & cricket, as well as other outdoor activities.
