A lot of agencies promise superior service but often fail to deliver, even overcharge for a service that is OK at best. When David Barnes promised to find a tenant and go the extra mile by putting out flyers around the area at no cost to me, I was more than impressed. Within a week of that discussion, a prospective tenant had been shown through and by the following week signed up for a 12 month lease at the forecasted rental price. My apartment was snapped up so quickly there was no time for advertising via the usual channels. The rent was much more than achieved by previous agents and all the while David kept in touch via sms and email or phone. I am so grateful to this Carlton agency for renting my West Melbourne apartment. Although it is only early days, David Barnes made the transition between agents very easy. He seems to have excellent knowledge of the rental market, especially with respect to the fully furnished market and is very personable and approachable. He listened to our concerns and was very easy to negotiate with.
When some difficulties arose during the changeover, he immediately took care of the problem. Within a short space of time we had a tenant with a 12 month lease with the possibility of extension. So far, communications from his property manager have been excellent. Hopefully, we can have a long and mutually beneficial partnership.
